oh my, and now a lovely 3 piece, regular poo!!! what a way to start a Wed!!:woot:. maybe the pumpkin worked? of course this a.m i did put a tiny pinch of mirilax in his breakfast, hope i didn't over do now!

hahahahaha the things that we get excited about! only for these sweet diabetic cats!

looks like he may have gotten lower last night, since he was rising to the 212 this morning. Nice to see that yellow!

i know, after i wrote that i thought, goodness, I'm excited by poo!!

dare I wonder if he even hit high blues last night?
My boyfriend from out of state came in last night and i had to pick him up at the airport. Didn't get a chance to do a test last night, obviously.
he's here till Sun, so my testing may have to go down a bit over next few days, will always do AM/PM and hope to at least get 1 more when possible.

Obviously, he went up to pink already, and I won't be surprised to see red again at PM/PS but hopefully that will be considered a bounce, not the same old same old... Can I at least say I should hold 4.5u for now since he hit at least a low yellow?

There's a good chance he did hit the blues last night. :) Too bad you couldn't get a test to prove it. But yes, this is a bounce from numbers lower than he's been used to lately, and that's a good thing that he's getting there.

As for increasing, let's see what Oren does for the next couple of cycles at this dose. If you are following TR, it would have you hold this dose at least 8 cycles when you see the blue. But he will likely have to go up. Remember that the goal is to get him in largely green numbers.

seems good that the +5 to pmps was only a 10pt increase, not a huge bounce. hopefully, he's finally responding. Talked to vet today also; she said he could have as much as 1/8th teaspoon twice a day, cut back if he starts getting too loose. She also agreed the pumpkin was good, but had me check the label for sugar content; the can i had was 4g per 1/2c, so she thought I should be very careful w/ using too much of that. Also clarified that when she checked his teeth before she saw 'normal' amounts of tartar but nothing that seemed worrisome to deal with immediately.
