Method

UPS is our preferred method of shipping as it provides tracking capabilities and is normally our least expensive option.

Please include a street address with all orders as UPS cannot deliver to P.O. boxes.

Cost

We strive to keep our shipping costs low. We cannot, however, compete with Big Box stores who receive volume discounts. Our products are quite heavy and therefore relatively expensive to ship. Handling charges are also added. Shipping & handling charges will be calculated at checkout, based on weight of shipping and cost of the product. Shipping charges typically run from $8.50 for one bag of litter, up to $24.50 for a value package Smart Cat Box. If you are ordering mulitple items, the shipping software we use isn't very sophisticated and you may be contacted about additional shipping charges.

Shipping outside the continental U.S.

Shipping to Canada, Hawaii, and Alaska incurs extra charges and in the catalog is an "Extra Shipping Charges" icon that must be clicked to calculate appropriate charges.

Canadians have a choice of shipping by UPS or by US Mail. The method that is cheapest as far as extra charges in Canada seems to keep changing, so if you have a preference, please indicate this in your order or by emailing Rebecca.

As of October 2007, shipping to countries other than the USA and Canada has been discontinued due to the prohibitively high shipping costs.

As the Smart Cat Box is a pet health product, once used it cannot be returned for resale. If your box is unused and in original packing, we will be happy to accept it in return. There is a 15% restocking fee in most cases and shipping charges are not refundable.
