AMPS 77

Another lovely 70s to start today. Cain dipped into the high 50s this morning but I only caught a 57. I'm glad I set up a second alarm this morning to at least catch the +7 because the +6 phone alarm I totally turned off looks like.

Thanks to all that visited yesterday and this morning while I was getting more sleep. And yes, Kat, I'm hoping but I'm waiting. Trying to be patient.

I had another ant invasion this morning but this time at the kitchen sink. I traced them back and found they were coming in through the window above the sink. Some baby powder at the entry points and vinegar for their scent trail seems to have stopped them for now. I need to get a different type of bait to see if they will eat it. Though if these are the crazy ants, a lot of the commercial stuff doesn't work on them.

Hmm not bad. I'll keep an eye on him. See if he flattens out or keeps dropping.

Dropped a little more but it's probably the same number if you account that variance in. But he should be good, I think this might be the lowest part.

@Rhiannon - It's an ant that was brought up from Brazil. Apparently it's been in the Houston area since 2002 and most commercial pesticides don't work on them. Most of the time people say to call a pro to help get them out. They do attack and get rid of fire ants actually. I haven't seen but one or two ant mounds this year. Now if I can find these ants' nest it would help. But they tend to be level to the ground and prefer moist places and under things like leftover lumber. Too bad we have a lot of tree debris right next to the house. Dad's been trying to trim down a tree without a chainsaw and most of the clippings and branches go near it.

Six more cycles in these amazing numbers or a drop below 50 and Cain might just be telling us what he thinks about this whole FD gig :lol: :lol:

And yes, I sometimes have to scroll up to the beginning of the SS to see where we started from. When I joined, I think I was looking at Leo's (?) SS and I was thinking how neat it was to go all green like that. And now Cain's like that too.
