I'm glad I decided to bring J.D. to work with me yesterday, as I didn't have to because his shots were not done at work. He actually ate whole can of FF at work (that's 4 normal sized meals for him). He usually doesn't eat much at work.
Hey, I have a new meaning for tbp (J.D. says it stands for That Boring Place :lol: )
I was exhausted when I got home, and went to bed early, but J.D. ate fine though out the night.
He woke me up at +10.5 (4:30am) with that 104 and I fed him a bunch of freeze dried chicken treats, but I tried and couldn't go back to sleep.

This place stinks so bad of cat pee. I tried the cement mixer under the litter box and it caught some of the over the side pees, but when I've seen J.D. pee over the side, he has one or two back feet up on the high 8 inch side of the litter box and gets a good foot and a half to two feet of horizontal pee flow over the side and out onto the carpet. The carpet appears dry, so I don't know where the pee is. Maybe his pee that's in the box is just stinking. Maybe, it's Ginger, she used to pee on the couch all the time. I know I need to go buy one of the black light things to find the spots. My DBF is complaining bad :sad: .

Coffee is almost done now, and I'm still hoping to go btb, and then off to PetsMart to try to deal with this smell.

Wow on J.D.'s numbers yesterday while at TBP... He just wanted to spice things up since it is soooo boring :lol: Sorry about the pee issues, we are having poo issues here.

Sorry about the pee smell. I hope you can find something to get rid of it. I hope J.D. gives you a nice blue/green surf today.

Hi Dyana,
How cool that JD gets to go work with you (TBP) and gives you such good numbers while you are there! i sympathize with you on the LB issues. So far, Cleo only overshoots (or misses completely) in the laundry room where her LBs are. We are going to pull up the peel and stick tiles that are in there, and put down a solid piece of vinyl flooring. From the pee and cleaning it so much, the tiles are loose anyway. I use boiling water with baking soda to clean it. The Lysol type cleaners were too smelly and none of my kitties wanted to go in there. I also have a LB on the patio, and she never overshoots that one (antijinx). But, when that same LB is in the laundry room, she mostly always overshoots. Wish I could figure it out - I have so many types/sizes of LB, I could open a store. But, she still drinks much more than my civvies, so I am hoping when that lessens, so will the pee issues.

sorry about the pee issues. We've had those and they are soooo frustrating. :sad: I've got this bookmarked. Maybe it'll help. get rid of smellI've used the vinegar & water, followed by lots and lots of baking soda..lather, rinse repeat.. I gave up on the open litter boxes. No outside pee since we have covered boxes.

J.D. just ate his 3rd Breffis and is hanging out on the back of the couch. The sliding glass door is open and was open while I was napping, and as far as I know he didn't go wandering off like he did when it was raining the other night viewtopic.php?f=9&t=97056#p1039145

J.D. ate 1/8 can of FF at +5 and is having another 1/8 can now. He seems to like the 50s.

whoa boy. look at you go. sure hope that liver learns these are good # and does not panic. you have been in school long enough to know better.

i tried a closed LB and did not work for me. urine got under the meeting place and would run down the outside.. the stuff that collected between the 2 parts was peeeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuu

Actually the litter box I use up here has a cover, I just never use it. I thought they weren't good for kitties because of the air quality :oops: in them.

J.D. finally earned some shrimp and he bit my finger he was so eager to get them.

Gorgeous day yesterday and today! Hope you find a solution for the pee situation.

Our litter boxes have about a 12" side on them. Which doesn't help if a kitty pees near the entrance and shoots it out. When our GA Sitka was in her early 20s and had arthritis, she wouldn't go far into the box and always ended up peeing on the edge and sometimes out of the entrance. I always put our boxes on tile and I bought a bunch of rubbermaid plastic mats and put them everywhere under the entrances to the boxes so if she did pee outside of it, it was easy to clean them with some bleach.

When I volunteered at the cat shelter we always recommended people NOT use covered boxes because they can trap odors but also because they can cause a cat to scrunch over when they poo/pee instead of sitting straight up so I think you are smart to not use the covers.

What rubber maid mats do you use?
Maybe I could try something like that. The only non carpeted places I have is a tiny kitchen and a tiny bathroom. I could maybe find a corner of the bathroom to use, but that would mean getting the kitties transitioned to the new litter box place and my basement is also carpeted, and the kitties have been known to go down there and pee and poo down there on the carpet where the litter boxes used to be, so I'm afraid of moving the litter box nailbite_smile now.
I have pee pads down under the box, but Ginger tends to use them as hand towels to wipe her paws after using the litter box and scrunches them all up.

He got 3 shrimp total between +6.5 and +7. I just fed him 1/4 can of FF at +8.25 and he ate a bunch of Ginger's helping too, so I'll probably have to use some R by +10. We'll see. I'm going out for a bit. Need to do some laundry and shopping and getting outside to walk the cats.

I just gave him zero line (about 1 and 1/2? drops) of R.
Maybe waited too long to test. He was just sleeping away in his bed under the air conditioner.
Now, he's laying on the deck getting some fresh air and a little sun.
