Yesterday/last night were GREEN cycles for Ripples :mrgreen: .
She is doing great today! We had a PDLB (public-display-of-litter-boxing), complete with #1 & #2, and she has a happy appy. In Michelle's words, we have Normalcy in RipleyVille :-D .

Today will be a hot one, about 106. So Ripley will not get her butt kicked off her rocker today for backyard basking ~ I'm sure she'd prefer to be in the cool house anyway.

Sending vines far and wide to those in need, and a big "Welcome to the World" to baby William! :-D :-D :-D

And a 106??????? omg. no way. I'd be a melted puddle of goo.... Thank goodness for A/C huh. that is really hot. We may make 70. No back yard basking today for you Ripley. Cool will rule.

Very nice report...so glad Ripley is feeling good today!!!!

106 is hot...I wouldn't mind it for a day (I hate being cold!), but I think more than that would be too much for even me!

Came home from work to find Queen Ripley sitting on the couch like she owned the thing, complete with paws crossed. :lol:

YIKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!! 106 :shock: :shock: :shock: And here, it was 87 week before last and I was biyatching about having to say in tha A/C :lol: I'm really happy, happy, happy to see Ripley's SS :-D

Talked to Ripley's vet today: her urinalysis shows NO BACTERIA!! Yay! She is UTI-free! :-D
She'll finish her Clavamox, last dose is Sunday am.

He is, however concerned about her Ph level: it's at 6.5. I believe she has been at 6-6.5 since diagnosis in November. He's worried about crystals forming. He gave 2 options: to either switch her diet to prescription food (Hills c/d) or to do nothing and have her retested in August.

I chose the latter.

According to Dr. Lisa, "pH is often mentioned when discussing diet and crystals but is focused on far too heavily." (Her bold type.) So I'm not worried, and feel confident that Ripley's diet of Cowboy Cookout + Wellness Turkey is way better than any prescription food; plus, she gets water added to each meal AND sub-q fluids each night.

She is feeling good tonight. She was extra cuddly this afternoon, but even in this heat I can deal with a sweet kitty on my lap. cat_pet_icon
She is now resting; she often sleeps after getting her sub-qs.

Great numbers!

I hate to tell you this but...
Repeating a urinalysis while Ripley is still on the Clavamox was a waste of money and your vet should have known better. Unless the Clav wasn't treating the UTI, you will get a negative reading on a culture while your kitty is on the AB. You have to wait about 2 weeks after you've finished the AB to repeat the culture/urinalysis. If you don't, there's a distinct possibility that your results reflect a false negative.

Glad to see Ripley is feeling better. Yikes on 106 - I think we were 109 here in the Phoenix valley so I feel your pain. I dislike this time of year... Surf safely Ripley!

106?! I'm sure those days are coming, but right now we're basking in the 80's.
