KT's still got the runs and hasn't been acting like he felt good for days. He's lost weight the last 3 months too...so FINALLY was able to get all other emergency vet visits done and now it was his time. The panel didn't look too bad, only things really outside normal were the expected things for runny poo for days. He got a dose of diarreah med too. Vet agreed he needs a dental. I don't like the one that does their dentals...I'm trying to find another vet that specializes in those. KT's prior as well as today's blood results are on a tab in his spreadsheet if you'd like to take a look.
I had a discussion with my vet today about 'diabetic dry food'. He's been listening to the salesman WAY too much. He wanted me to start him on one of those - I asked WHY would I feed a diabetic something with 34% carbs (Science Diet r/d). He started telling me it was the difference in 'complex carbs' vs. 'simple carbs'...but I already KNEW that argument. I went out and pulled that dry bag, showed him the ingredients and asked "Please show me these 'complex carbs'" on this ingredient list. He began reading - I began responding "Simple" as EACH was a simple carb or a protein. We grabbed the Royal Canin...same thing...by the time we finished, HE was confused.....and no longer encouraged me to give it to KT....and was appropriately embarrassed...
I'm opening separate condos today 'cos we need to DANCE in Dakota's! HE finally dumped those stress numbers!!!
