Good Morning World! Welcome to our extra sweet home! Last Condo-KT .... Last Condo-DAKOTA I'm going to try a combined condo today...
KT AMPS 119
WOOT WOOT! Just LOOK at my bootiful PooKitty's number this morning! He didn't want cat food this morning - it was a dog food breakfast. We'll watch numbers closer today to see where this little trip takes us! All P's in place, he's been tackled by JillPuppy so his morning is complete. I had to wonder about my meter last night - both KT and Dakota handed me the same 299 number! For the most part, they've been running close to the same most of the time.
DAKOTA AMPS 339
Not so sure just what caused THIS number this morning but it's actually the only bad one he's given me since that first day. There's a chance I did a furshot last night - he's REALLY REALLY Hairy! I'm having trouble finding skin down there! I stuck my nose in his fur after the shot and didn't smell insulin. I DID increase by .25u's this morning.
SpikeKitty is FINALLY using that paw with the broken toe - he still limps a bit when he walks on hard surfaces like concrete but even that is about gone! Broken toes HURT!
SashaDrooler that got 'fixed' and dewclaws removed last week had an infection develop in one hind leg...blew out the stitches and all the new skin. Luckily I guess the good Lord's been guiding my hand there because when it all burst day before yesterday, I cleaned and doctored it then wrapped it - must have done something right as when we got to vet yesterday and removed the wrap, there was NO SIGN of infection left! It's an ugly long thing but it will all fill with new skin - she gets to wear a single bootie for another couple of weeks. She's really been good about not messing with them other than the once she pulled it off that caused the hurt/infection to set in.
We're under storm watches again today - we dodged most of a bad one last night, only got high winds. LeoKitty still sleeps out in his old room with Pepper/Mugs as I'm not sure what trouble he might get into overnight. Since LilyKitty was inside for the storm, we started off 'lights out' with him inside. Within an hour tho', he'd been up on our bed in our faces four times, meowed at the window then started his kitten race run....I finally got up when winds quit, put Lily back in her room and Leo back out in his. My brain REALLY needed the rest, not half-sleep trying to listen for trouble. Leo is really EXCEPTIONALLY good - he quickly learns the 'right' thing we want and mostly always minds without being told.
BlueDrooler's toe/leg's are healing but the claw is still hanging on about halfway. It's not turning under the paw so I'll wait a bit longer before I cut it off. It's not down in the toe but was too close to cut without hurting the open 'hurt'.
All other fuzzy feetz are doing well. We're still struggling with the water leak - it's location is bad, right at the pressure unit on the hot water heater. The water heater is ANCIENT, I want to replace it, he wants to just fix the line. I'm dragging my feet while he thinks about it - this old one burns WAY too much propane and will begin leaking soon. I know it's rod is probably gone so it's not efficient at all. If I put it off long enough and complain when he says something, he'll finally figure it out. HE can't fix it...aren't I mean? If we'd done it last year when I wanted to, we'd have already saved a lot - they had a special at one of the stores, water heater and install for $350. NOW the exact same thing is going to cost us almost $500.
BIG HUGS to all that visit today! DANCE with us!!!
