Morning,

I don't think Zeus feels very good this morning. I got up 30 min early to give him the Pepcid, and he stayed where he was until I picked him up for the test.... Normally he would get up and want breakfast. After his test, he did the same thing, just stayed on the couch, he didn't come to the kitchen as I was preparing breffis. He didn't even get down when I brought him his food. He ate a little when I put him in front of the dish, but not enough for a shot. He does lick a little more each time I put him in front of the dish, but again not a lot. He isn't even eating the FF appetizer that I opened for him, he licked the juice. He's been licking his lips too. I am getting worried.

ETA: It's 45 min past his first test, from the food that he did eat, he jumped up 100 points so I did shoot... A little skinny. Now he is eating on his own. He was just trying to scare his momma? Being a holiday I'm not sure that his vet will be open, but I am going to try to get an appointment for this week. I need to bring Smokey anyway, time for her semi-annual check. I want her thyroid checked again too, I feel that the dose of methimazole might be off.

I'm sorry Zeus is not feeling well. I hope it is just a bad day and that's all. Hopefully you can get an appointment soon. I think most vets are closed today for the holiday.

OH :cry: I hope Zeus feels better by now. I hope he was just trying to get your extra attention this morning. I'm crossing fingers, paws and eyes for a good vetty visit when you can get him in.

Zeus pretty much laid around today. He came up for snuggles a few times, which is not an every day occurrence, he usually prefers to be standing, walking back and forth for his pats and scritches. He did have a lick of food here and there throughout the day. Tonight was an almost repeat of this morning, except when I tried feeding him on the sun porch. Again, no CPC but he did finally eat enough for his shot. Calling the vet first thing in the AM.

Hi Kathie, I am sorry to read that Zeus isn't himself. I think I had read here on FDMB that when they lick their lips, it means they are nauseated. I am going to run a quick search and see if that's it...brb

Ok...dah-dum-dumb me...it was in one of MY posts (on 3/20/13)..as a response Dyana left me:

"If Gobbles is nauseated (licking his lips and walking away from food),"
