05/14 Rory AM 351, +3 221, +6 277, +9 432!!!

Well I have not been here in a couple days but I think its time to do another increase, I was scared to because Rory's numbers went so low.. to blue.. almost perfect!! but NOW they have taken a turn for the worse.. yesterday I gave him a treat about 10 dry crunchies because he was so upset from all the extra tests I had done the past few days and his ears were soooo bruised looking.. he wont be getting them again because he has been naughty ever since, he gobbled them so fast I dont think he even tasted them anyway!!

I notice he tries to pull away more today while trying to draw....but I guess that treat was not a good idea :/

I agree seeing blue would be nice but I want to monitor it and cant while I sleep

Are you putting Polysporin Complete (heal fast formula) on his ears afterwards? A dab of that helps the healing. And yes, dry food should be a thing of the past for Rory.

Poor Rory, I hope he gets used to the testing. I don't think I've stopped by your condo before, but others have probably given you hints on testing. Warming up Leo's ear with a rice-filled sock *really* helped the blood flow easily and then we could just tap his ear just a bit and get some blood, although sometimes it takes a little milking to get it.

Yes, no more crunchies! Leo had started doing so good with his BGs close to the start of his trial, and then I woke up to a pink :shock: :shock: :shock: I was SO BUMMED after good numbers, until I realized that he had gotten into his sister's hard food. Luckily, his BGs came back down, but it was amazing what an effect it had. (His sister gets some hard food for other non-FD reasons.)
