Morning ~O) ~O) a little higher blue this morning, but it may be that Mags was snacking close to the +10. She has a very good appy. I'm hoping she slides down to some nice blues. Mags woke me two hours before the alarm rang, but I picked her up and carried to bed where we both had two more hours' sleep/rest. All is well with four P's. No prezzies expected today, but as Detective Poos, says, always hopeful. She has been doing well, paws crossed, with the Miralax dose and Cisapride. The b/p pill is still a challenge. :lol:
I hear Elsa is really moving along with her Barista training; ~O) ~O) can't wait to hear an update.

Hi Tena, I give Mags approximately one tsp. of Miralax, divided into four portions thru the day. I've been doing some very careful tweaking.

Ann, to answer your question about the "fluffy" Wellness. No, I am not serving the fluffy. I am serving the firm-textured Wellness. Marje and I did an "exchange" last month, and since then I have found the firm (Canadian plant) Wellness in the stores. Look for "C1" as the last number in the code on the bottom of the cans. C1=Toronto plant. Don't buy the cans that have an A in a circle on the bottom: these are the "fluffy" texture from the California plant. If you buy by the case, don't buy a case with A in a circle stamped as part of the date stamp on the carton. Buy the cases that have the date stamp without the A on the carton. Of course, Wellness is about to make a big change in their manufacturing and distribution, so all of this may change (see my post from several weeks ago: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=93144.

Hi Ella, wow and thanks so much for that info on Wellness. I normally get the firm Wellness from WAG.com, but was surprised this last time to get the fluffy. I'll write all that down with the codes and how to note which one is the firm testure Wellness. I need to hit a pet store today, so will see if I can get the "C1" cans. We have three different pet stores within a five mile radius, so surely I can hit one of them. Thanks again. Thanks on the link, too.

oh yes on the BP med. I so remember that one,. The thing was so darn small that I sometimes was never sure it got in him.... especially after he stopped eating the pill pockets. then it was a challenge. Maggie, take your meds! Poo vines needed today?

Bummer on the early wake up call, but nice on the BTB and her letting you sleep. Good job there too Maggie. :-D

Yes, Mags can use poo vines today. She's been doing so well she may want a day off, but there's always hope. She sure eats hearty on the Cowboy Cookout.
Oh yes, that b/p pill cutting into quarters always gets smashed, and I try to get the four pieces even with a magnifying glass. :lol:

Mags finally made green! :mrgreen: We haven's seen green in five days. Green kini and hope Mags can keep it on a few hours.

Amy, I hope soon the girls will be in sync. Mags has been on the higher side, too. I need to get her in to Vetty soon for a senior blood panel and exam soon.

Nicely done , Miss Maggie! I don't know what it is this last week, lots of kittehs higher than usual. Maybe recovery from the week in NYC. Nice on the the btb cuddles. Tess came in for early snuggles today! :-D :-D :-D

Hi and thanks for the visits. I just had success with one of Maggie's pills, but hope it doesn't raise her bg! I gave her one Temptation/chicken, and she really enjoyed it; I then slipped her the pp with the med and she swallowed it. I syringed a little water, too. Thanks for all your suggestions yesterday on your experiences, really appreciate it.

Ann & Tess, I did notice quite a few kitties were in the yellows. I think NYC and all the hot dogs helped it along. :lol:

Hi Barb, I'm afraid Mags probably will be back up there for the pm pre shot. I think I need new juice. I think I'm going on four months which is how long my vial lasts if I'm careful.

Great numbers! Glad to hear the PP worked! I just started using them (salmon) to giv Gobs his denamarin and he hasn't caught me yet :-D

Wow, look at Maggie go, what a pretty green. Hope the surf continued. Congrats on the PP, Smokey was taking them well for a few days until she bit down on the pill once and then she wouldn't eat them again.

Well, so much for the green surf and green kini.

Carla, thanks, Mags did have a nice slide. The +5 looked hopeful. She'll slide back down tonight, but I'll miss most numbers.

Kat, I use the Salmon pill pockets for Mags also. Giving her that tartar treat first really helped.

Kathie, sounds like Smokie caught on to you since biting down on the pill. :lol: It's a challenge at times.
