Good Morning`

On a good note, all P's are in place with Stella. She was very happy to see me yesterday afternoon and her tail was in the air.

On another note, the kitty sitter did NOT work out. I don't even know where to begin. She was a whole bunch of drama. For those that don't know, I was on a work trip in Boston. As you know, a major tragedy happened at the Boston Marathon. The kitty sitter wanted me to talk on the phone and talk to her during each visit and had me on the phone for a half hour each time. Or she would text me and the conversation would last an hour and a half. The last thing I needed was 'kitty sitter drama' in the midst of a real tragedy. It was just two much to handle, so after 3 visits one of my coworkers met her at my apartment and took my keys from her. Needless to say, she was paid for 6 visits and 6 insulin shots and the kitties got 3 visits and Stella only got 2 shots. What a waste on so many levels. It just goes to show you, even when you go to a reputable web site and hire someone that is bonded, insured, and background checked can still be a disaster.

My coworker asked if this woman was living in my apartment while I was gone. I said no. My coworker said it took about a half and hour for her to gather all of her personal items including a pillow. I was paying her for 30 minute visits. This kitty sitter was having trouble getting Stella her shots. I told her it was because Stella had a routine and from what she told me on the phone she wasn't keeping Stella's schedule. I could tell you each thing that alerted me to trouble but the bottom line is this woman didn't know what she was doiing despite my specific instructions and her passimg the interview. I was afraid she was going to end up harming my kitties so I got her out.

She didn't understand the concept of Caro syrup, she was putting cat nip in Stella's bowl, not food etc. What a whack job. I told her if Stella didn't eat she was going to kill her. She iddn't feed her after the two insulin shots she did manage. Then she couldn't give an injection and she asked if she should put Caro syrup on Stella's paws... you get the picture.

The hunt for a kitty sitter continues...

Oh noooo, this was the kitty sitter that you were really liked from the meet and greet? She does sound like a whack job, and it's good that you got her out. Not a terrible number for Stella missing a couple of shots. I hope she slides down for a blue green surf.

Have a great day,
Kathie

Ps. The date in your subject is a couple of days off

I'm glad Stella is okay after the disaster with the cat sitter. That AMPS isn't bad considering everything. Good luck finding someone trustworthy to cat sit for you.

Re: 4/15 Stella AMPS/262

Morning Mary,
What a goofball!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like Stella is doing well in spite of the cat sitter from H... I hope she brings her little self down today. Sending you "find someone who actually can take care of Stella" vines and prayers. Hugs and scritches to you from us.

Thank You #TeamStella

You cannot believe the 'joy' in the household when I came home from work this afternoon. :-D Who says kitties don't 'greet' you at the door? We will take all fo the good vibes/vines from all of you! Yes, this was the sitter I really liked. I guess people can talk a good talk, but not walk the walk...

Maybe the vet tech will be greeted better by Stella if we use her again. If you look at the numbers from that previous visit you can see Stella at least got her insulin! Just a few more times and I am sure Stella will put two and two together to see the vet tech, although stessful and not me, does get her meds and food to her making her feel like a happy kitty.

One more meet and greet tomorrow...but she does not have insulin experience. I may just have her as a back up...someone please feed my cat and scoop the litter.... she seemed very eager to 'learn' how to do insulin. But....who knows... after this...I am not sure of anyone. Maybe I will circle all the way back to the first kitty sitter that Stella didn't care for...but she was recommended by my vet and had the experience Stella needs.
