4/16 Trixie AMPS 227 +2.5 202 PMPS 181 +2.5 196 +4 137

Yesterday

She's hanging on to that yellow floor by a thread! Dosecrease is set for this evening...got to get her consistently lower than this. Unfortunately that means F3.25, and psychologically being over "3" kinda gets to me, but we have to balance out her renal issues with the FD...gotta bite the bullet and do it. She did very briefly touch the high blues last night...not nearly enough to call off tonight's dosecrease.

This morning's breffis was mostly Friskies T&G with the usual touch of Paw Lickin'. I may re-study the list and try some more fuds, again, too. I do think, though, I've run the gammut of all the fuds that are available locally, but I want to double-check that to be sure, just in case I missed something.

We stay so focused on the dose. DH says "what does it matter if it's 3.5 or 3.75? Tarragon will never be OTJ." I know he is right but it still kills me when he gets in those higher doses. ((((Amy)))) Trixie is sooooo close to that blue. Come on down girl. Have a great day Amy!

Thanks, Melissa...you are so right. At this point, it's highly unlikely that Trix will ever go OTJ, either, so we need to focus on heathy BG numbers, not dose numbers. Even after all this time, it's STILL kind hard to see the dose go up, but it is obviously WAY more important that the BG numbers come down no matter how much juice it takes.

I know what you mean. You would think we would have become desensitized to it after a couple of years huh. Hang in there girl. Trixie just might read her condo today.

It can happen! I'm sure there's some members that can attest to it Amy. I see Trix likes Friskies T&G--one of Gobby's favorites. Sunny yellow is not too bad; those numbers can very likely be blue! How was the bead show?

Amy, I feel your pain with regards to the psychological aspect of raising her dose to above 3u. I think 3.25u will get her over the yellow hump into the blues, but if not, perhaps 3.50u will. Keep trying. You'll get there. :YMHUG:

Hi guys .. Good luck with the extra juice tonight! And never say never .. just look at mocha .. a total of 24 months on insulin (22 on lantus) and she's been enjoying the falls for two years now! Have a great day guys!

Hi Amy, Hope by the time you get home. Trix will have had some time and read over her condo. I've been mostly feeding Mags paw lickin chicken. She's snubbed some of the others. Interesting with the Friskies Turkey & Giblets as it causes a spike with Mags. I should bring it out again though and try as it meets the phosphorus.
Come on Trixie and slide down to blue and green.

Finally off the yellow floor, but not enough to avoid the dosecrease! Gotta adjust the juice to account for the rise in BGs from the lower phosphorous fuds...I don't see any other way around it, since she will not touch Evil EVO, even if she were starving to death!

Yep, you gotta focus on getting her BGs back to better numbers, not the dose. Easier said than done. Work that juice, Trix! "Evil EVO" :lol: :lol: :lol:

Even with more juice, she's heading the wrong way. Argh. We'll get there...really gotta dig out those darned patience pants. I haven't need them in ages!
