Re: 4/16 OliverTwist pmps 132

HI again!
A couple days ago,I pressed the plunger after i gave Ollie his shot and found that there's a drop of insulin left in the syringe .
I"ve tried pressing harder on the plunger and holding the syringe still for about 10 secs while it's in him. Sometimes i don't have a drop left, but mostly I take the syringe out of Ollie, press the plunger and there's this one small drop that comes out of the syringe. One time i pressed really hard on the plunger and when i removed the syringe from Ollie, the needle was bent. I can only think that's a bad thing. What if the needle broke off?? :o  Mark says he always has a drop left and thought that's the way it's supposed to be. Does anyone else have this? OR is there some way to get ALL the insulin into the cat?
So soon old and so late smart

Re: 4/16 OliverTwist pmps 132 drop of insulin left in syring

I noticed that too when Leo's dose was getting smaller. So we just squeeze down "pretty hard" and whatever comes out, comes out. There will always be a little left in there in the needle so you can probably always push just a "little bit more" and get some insulin to peek out. I'd push with a reasonable force and just be consistent about it. Consistency is the most important thing.

Thanks for your visits!
