Thank you everyone, for visiting Mario's celebration yesterday! It was a tough day, for sure...I still miss him very much, every single day.
I was not thrilled with Trix's AMPS, but she's lookin' good with that +3.75! Today's breffis was EVO 95% chicken and turkey. It got so-so reviews from Trix. She ate about 90% of it, but wasn't touching the rest for nuthin'. She kept going back sniffing, digging, then walking away in disgust...until I busted out a little plop of her beloved Fancy Feast. I can't stand this fuds switch. I don't like her not being completely happy about what she eats.
But, I do think I can keep her interested by offering a whole lot of variety. At the same time, most of these lower phosphorous fuds are a bit higher in carbs than I like, even though they are still considered LC. We may have to compensate by raising her dose a bit...that'll have to be the compromise of keeping both the early CKD and diabetes in line at the same time. We'll see...we're just a few days into this, but for the most part, her numbers have been higher ever since we started the switch.
I'm off today....no errands or Trader Joe's, but lots of chores, and maybe even the taxes - woohoo!
Many prayers for Linda as she mourns the lose of her sweet little Weezer.
Have a great day, LL!
