Happy Wednesday LL,

Shasta has a happy appy this morning. YAY! We have preening, purring and playing; not to mention pee and a little poo yesterday. Thank you to everyone who gave suggestions for weight gain for Shasta.

Wendy & Liz, you two must have posted while I was writing my post. Thanks for the suggestions. And thank you to all of you for the well wishes for my back. It's a bit better than this weekend, but it is still 'not right'. :-| Oh well.

Well, I have a department chair meeting this morning. I-) Just kidding. Wishing everyone a great day.

Hi guys .. love hearing when kitties have good appy's! I'm glad to hear your back is feeling better but fingers crossed it get's back to "right" soon .. back pain is so hard to deal with .. have a great day guys!

Hi Michelle & Devon,

Shasta's seeing some blues tonight, but I don't expect her to get too low. She had a traumatic day today. :sad: I got a call from my alarm company around 4:45 this afternoon saying that my alarm was registering as a burglary. nailbite_smile S**T SHASTA!!!! (<- my first thought!) She asked if I wanted the police to respond....hmmm...let me think about this...YES! I told her that I would pack up my stuff and leave work immediately; be home in 10 minutes. By the time I got here, cops were in my back yard talking to my horse (he was in the pasture next door...not my back yard! :razz: ) They did not see any open windows or doors, but came inside with me anyways to make sure. All was fine and we assumed it was a faulty sensor, but after Deb & Spot's ordeal this week, I wasn't a happy mama.

HOLY GOOD LORD THAT ALARM IS LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm surprised I didn't hear it at school!!!! Shasta was NO WHERE to be found at first sweep. When I got back in from walking the cops out, she was sitting on the couch looking quite perturbed! After loving on her, I poked, shot, fed and left for the chiropractor w/o arming my alarm. By the time I got home, it was beeping...not full alert, but incessant beeping...enter PISSED OFF SHASTA. Called my alarm company, guy helped me restore my system, asked if I wanted to schedule a maintenance check as he told me that it was most likely a bird or something that hit the window...I said "no", but if it goes off again, they'll be the first ones to know! I armed my system, started making dinner, 30 minutes later - full burglary alarm...again! They called after I disarmed it...blah, blah, blah...maintenance check is scheduled...Shasta's still fast as lightning when she needs to be...alarm (in burglary mode) is really freakin' loud!

So long story short, appy is ok, don't expect great numbers the rest of the night, I'm behind on EVERYTHING right now, need to go shower. :roll: :-| :lol:

I don't even like it when our smoke alarm sounds. Poor Shasta... I bet her nerves are a little on edge.

I wouldn't call our day adventurous. Shadow has a condo today :cry: and is toying with getting a little insulin. :cry:
But the consensus seems to be to hold off until we get a dental done unless her numbers start really shooting up. nailbite_smile

I'm with everyone else and holding off until dental. Hopefully that will put her right back at the Falls! Although, we do like having her around...but not for these reasons! :roll:
