HAPPY TUESDAY!!!

The day started off dreary and rainy (and internet down!), but turned into a gorgeous sunny afternoon!!! We had quite the morning here, but let me give a quick catch-up. Last week, our plan was to stay with .75u unless Hershey showed us something by the end of the week. The end of the week brought sustained yellows, so we bumped it to 1u, with this AM being the 4th cycle. (I tried to attach a snip showing yesterday and today's SS, but the attachment was too small to see. Sorry)

Last night, he showed us several hours of green up to when I went to bed +7.5 (60). I discussed back and forth with myself whether or not it was safe to leave him overnight and reasoned it was. Back to this morning...I know what I did may/may not be how anyone else would've done it. Believe me, I did a lot of discussing with myself before deciding...You'll see my thought process in italics...

Tested at (5am) +12 (45) - Don't Feed/Delay? Ordinarily, I'd feed a (45), so thinking 'not feeding' isn't really an option. Hmmm - retest @-) nailbite_smile
+12-ish (43). Feed meal + tsp 7%. Will take a while for insulin to start working...Maybe if we let the food get head start. Don’t want to delay too long because 1) 5/5 shot schedule seems to work best for us right now, 2) we'll be depleting depot & 3) maybe undoing progress made last couple of days? Internet is down, so can’t see if anyone is on the forum.
+12.25 – (48). Shot 1u, let Hershey finish eating
When to retest? Now +.25, but a test would be food inflated. Btb, test at…+1

Guess I'll be keeping a closer eye on Hershey for the next few cycles.

Hi Libby! Wow, what a day for Hershey! You shot that 48? That's so brave :shock: Looks like Hershey wants to go back to .75u. Hope you have a great PMPS cycle, but Hershey, not so low, k? The 50s are plenty fine!

Also, hope Doug's shoulder is doing better.

Hey, Courtney - I don't know if it was bravery or not...Looks like Hershey was listening about the PM cycle and staying higher. Seems he's trying on the blues...Thanks for asking about Doug. He's doing well enough to start wanting to do more. He's fixed supper the last two nights, being careful to mostly use his left hand and keep the right elbow close to his body (still wearing the sling) to lessen the urge to do too much.

Hey, Melanie - It was quite the surprise this morning. I was just saying to Doug last night that we needed to be on-guard, but it still caught me by surprise...I'm going to test him once more before (hopefully) going to bed. I wouldn't mind him staying in the upper greens/lower blues overnight, but we don't always get BG's made to order, do we?

Hey, Carl - This dance feels like one step forward and two steps back (nobody gets too far like that...). He was doing so well on .25u, now we're up to 1u and waiting for him to give a nod of approval somewhere along the way. But, he's definitely feeling good and looking good, so that counts for a lot!

Hope you get a go to bed numbers. That was quite the dance this morning.

I sympathize with the dose. I finding Neko not green enough on 3.0mm but too low on 3.2 mm on the calipers. There is .1mm in the middle there, but that isn't really much.

Wow, what a day for Mr. Hershey!! And you! Does that 39 warrant a reduction? Can you shoot a fat 0.75 or skinny 1.0? We think there are about 3 drops in 0.25u, so a fat or skinny is an extra drop or less a drop. Jeesh. I'm glad Doug's shoulder is healing nicely. How long ago was surgery?

Hey, Wendy - Looks like Hershey is saying, "Goodnight." I think/hope he'll see green by shot time, but not planning to stay up to wait for 'The Great Pumpkin.' THE dose sure is an illusive thing with every day being a whole new ballgame...
