Morning, ~O)

We started yesterday with blue, went to yellow for much of the day, took a trip up to pink and then ended back in yellow where Zeus has started out today. He ate a good breffis, we had an OK test & shot. No LB action yet. Both kitties went BTB .

Poor Smokey was miserable last night. I thought the fur pulling had almost stopped and then she started again. She has been licking so much she has a couple of little scabs. I also noticed a lot of dandruff, worse than its ever been (I wonder about the hyper-t and the methimazole - side effects). At one point I thought I might have seen a bug, but I think it was just my eyes playing tricks on me. I looked her all over carefully after that. I used a flea comb and a soft brush, but had to be really careful because she's very sensitive where she's been pulling the fur. The only thing I found was dry flaky skin. She does this every year, and I always end up losing the battle and taking her to the vet... I think it is that time again.

I also brushed Zeus and used the flea comb on him. I haven't seen any evidence of anything, but I wanted to be sure. Zeus' dandruff is mostly gone, so that was good.

Hope you all have a great day, hugs and prayers to all,

Kathie

Re: 3/12 Zeus AMPS 278

I hope Zeus slides down for you today. Poor Smokey. I hope you can get some relief for her.

Yellow, pink, red ohmygod_smile and back to yellow. Where is that red coming from? We haven't seen a green in 5 days, unless Zeus sneaks down there quickly and back up for tests. I asked about increasing his dose a couple of days ago, but was cautioned to be careful of bounces. I don't know what to do but I would love to get rid of the pinks and reds.

I took Miss Smokey to the vet today. She was very unhappy and peed in the car. the vet said the fur pulling looks like classic seasonal allergies, and gave her a shot of depo-medrol (which she had last year as well and it really helped). I hope this brings her some relief. I also talked about switching Smokeys methimazole to the transdermal gel instead of the pills. She was fine with that and called a script into the pharmacy to be compounded.

Have a good night.
