Morning ~O) a little on the yellow for Maggie's AMPS, but nice drop to blue. Mags had some Friskies Special Diet Turkey & Giblets which is only 5 carbs but tends to cause a spike. Four P's, darn I thought for sure overnight we would see some prezzies, but none so far, for Detective Poo's report. :? More Poo vines are always welcome and many thanks. Her appy is good, and she had almost a CPC of overnight fuds. This being a weekend coming up, I may give Vetty a call. We just had a really nice btd together.

Hi all and many thanks for all the poo vines.

Mags is spending some time at the Vetty having a poo spa day. It has been too many days since she's had a poo, so they got us in right away. Maggie's regular Vet was tied up with appts., but this Vet helped with her diagnosis and is excellent. She felt her colon and said there is enough poo backed up that she needs help. She said this sometimes happens with the Megacolon kitties, even with all her meds. They will give her a pet enema and watch her. If it all doesn't empty, then X-rays and another enema. Mags was all calm and cool about it, and good thing she is having a nice flat bue cycle.

I'm glad to hear that Miss Mags is being mellow and the vetty, and also happy that she is being taken care of and surfing blues too! Poor girl, I hope she gets through it without too much stress.

Mags is home from Vetty. The Vet said she pooped right away after the enema, and "a lot of poop", her words. :? They monitored and made sure Mags got cleaned out so that she wouldn't poop in the carrier. Mags does not seem stressed at all and started asking for food as soon as I let her out of the carrier. She had another little poo in the lb, and I need to bathe her little bottom. Her bg will be high as she's still hungry and cleaning the plate. Thanks for all the vines and support for Mags and me. This was more stressful on me, as Mags seems all calm and collected, now taking a sunbath.
Thank goodness, no X-rays were needed.

Oh Ann, this is the first condo I've read today, and it was such a nice report, that Mags got cleaned out.

Hi Barb, it had been too many days since a poo, so I got worried. They took her in right away. When I picked her up after having had her enema, the carrier seemed much lighter. :lol:

Thanks Barb, Devon and Carla for your visits and good wishes for Maggie.

I am surprised at her low PMPS, especially after Vetty, but she did not seem stressed at all with the exam and enema. She was 218 earlier shortly, after i got her home, but the car was hot and she had a bite as soon as she left her carrier. I guess getting all cleaned out helps her numbers, too.

I think Mags may make it to the Green Lagoon, although she's been very hungry since her clean out today!

Hi Wendy, thanks for your support. Yes, it was time for Mags to get a check-up on her Megacolon, and I could see too many days had gone by, and just a few here and there hard turds (forgive language) :? were passing. She really needed an enema, and I wasn't sure what all would be involved, so best for me to leave it to the Vet, Turns out we didn't need any X-rays.
 
Hi, Ann -- I'm so glad Maggie is feeling better. I'm sorry it required a vetty visit, but I'm sure she's feeling relieved.

That's funny about the carrier feeling lighter post-enema; after Ripley's last enema, I noticed she looked skinnier. I guess the 'build-up' gradually made her look more plump, but I didn't really notice just how much until she lost 'the weight.'

I hope Maggie continues to keep things a-flowin' . And her numbers are looking good tonight!

Wow, Mags is a real professional: doesn't let anything bother her! We can all learn a lesson from that! :smile:

So glad that you had a successful day and are only 3 points away from the lagoon. The LagoonMeister is proud of Maggie and is sorry that he won't be able to join her in the lagoon this evening. Maybe soon!!

Oh, I am so relieved to hear this (pun semi-intended!) I've been thinking about you and Mags all day, but have been too busy to get back to the forum. I'm glad the poo spa day was a success, and that Maggie is all cool about it. Lovely numbers tonight for the sweet girl!!
 
Poor Mags and what a little trooper she is! Mom needed some vitamin x :lol: :lol: :lol:
