2/25 Sabrina AMPS 304, +7 417, +11 319, PMPS 367 appt tmrw

Sabrina's 2/24 Condo
Good Morning Everyone It's my time to play catch up from the weekend...I wasn't able to test Sabrina as often as I normally do , but from what I can tell she held her own. :?: Has anyone's sugarkitty ever shown these symptoms..... nailbite_smile I was up @ 1:00am(sabrina's +6) She was stretched out on my bed & unresponsive when I called her name, I had to touch her(gently shake)to get her to wake up & she felt cool to the touch, I have no idea how low her body temperature was at nailbite_smile I brought her downstairs & tested, BG was 252. I gave her more food(1.5oz) because the 3oz I put out @ bedtime was all eaten(ps-she wouldn't let me test her @ bedtime, which would have been +2).
This morning both her & I overslept(til 7:15) & dose was overdue by 1/2 hour, normally she would be telling me she wants breakfast :roll: She's a little sluggish this morning but otherwise ok, ate & used LB, now hanging out! Any thoughts on overnight episode?

+7 417.....climbing higher :sad: , weight today 9.0lbs, up 14 oz from 2/13 8.2lbs :smile: at least something looking up!!! Was a hefty 14lbs before dx

PMPS 367 1.25U *made a vet appointment for 2/26am & have all my info ready....just want the bloodwork done & see what her values are, the vet's office
is still insisting I do a "professional" curve, so I'm ready to argue that point cat(2)_steam

She may have just been very soundly sleeping.

I'm wondering if Sabrina is feeling OK given where her numbers have been sitting. If numbers are still high this evening, you may want to consider raising her dose tomorrow.

Hi guys ... Hmmm .. I know that mocha can get into some very deep sleeps, especially in the winter .. I've never noticed her body feeling cooler to the touch, but there are times I have to rub on her to get her to wake up .. then she stretches, yawns and looks at me like, is it summer yet? :lol: have a great day!

I remember a few times when we were on insulin that I couldn't wake Shadow. I'd never seen her sleep so deeply.
I don't remember cool to the touch... but we had a few twitchy episodes....

some very deep sleep indeed....

Good morning!
I'd like to add to the "very sleepy" discussion: My Ripley gets into some very deeeeep sleeps since diagnosis. She's even taken up SNORING, sometimes loud enough to wake me from my deep sleep :shock: :lol: .

Whenever R. shows an unusual behavior, I note it on her SS, and start looking for patterns. (Of course, she's a cat, so patterns are often thrown away with the rule book :roll: :lol: .)

ruben gets all twitchy when he sleeps lately, i was chalking it up to age, maybe it was the diagnosis?
i haven't noticed him cool, quite the opposite he gets super warm. somthing to keep an eye on i guess, stinkin kitties always having us worry, when they could care less. :razz:

I agree with Josie - make a note of it, and watch for other unusual things. Kibby, one of my civvies, was sleeping on the bed with me recently, and I was paying attention to his breathing. There were 3 times he seemed to completely stop breathing for about 5 seconds at a time. He was sleeping very deeply. I've made a mental note, and watched for that again, or something else strange, but haven't seen anything yet, so I'm not going to worry about it until I have a little more reason to.
