Yesterday

Trix dipped her furry little toes into the lagoon during last evening's cycle, and looks like she decided to keep at it! Very nice start for the little girl, but now we need to surf it...MamaBean has to work soon!

It was a quiet night with the herd last night...beans are thankful, as Saturday night was NOT quiet - Miss Frankie decided to wake us up many, many times. I so wish I knew why, and how to fix things. We're just taking it one day at a time now, in hopes that we'll eventually figure out how to keep all 5 kitties happy and quiet during the night so we can get some solid sleep.

nice numbers trixie- cats are such easily unsettled creatures, hopefully they settle into a routine and allow you guys to get much needed sound sleep.

To be honest, I'm afriad to talk to an AC...what if I find out my kitties don't like each other? I'd feel tremendously guilty...

It's pretty obvious to me that Frankie is needing extra attention, and she's learned that if she rattles the door, she'll get it. I know that reinfoces the behavior, but unfortunately, we can't ignore her, because if we do, Petey gets upset and attacks her. It's a vicious circle....

I also think we're all still adjusting to losing Mario - naturally, the group dynamics have changed because he required so much of my time and attention. Now that I'm "freed up", the others seem to be battling for that position.

On the plus side, she does go through phases, so it's not a nightly event. I feel like we are making baby steps in getting everyone settled.

Well, there is clearly some tension amongst them. An AC could help you figure out the cause(s) and then you can do something about it and hopefully sleep better. When I went to Switzerland for 5 months, Zener wanted me to say good night to him every night. And they wanted a bed in the front window with a bird feeder for entertainment so they wouldn't be bored. So we did those things and they were fine while I was gone. It seems a little strange but our AC is usually right on with what she tells us. And the kitties always tell her how loved they feel. I'm sure yours will say the same thing.

Trix is off to a lovely start this evening! Fortunately for MamaBean, DaddyBean is playing volleyball late...which kinda means MamaBean can crash a little earlier than usual and DaddyBean can take care of testing...(Of course he hasn't been clued in on this plan, though :lol: !)
