Yesterday started out the classic morning pink slide down to blue, but the evening broke with what has been tradition of late. Neko knew that I had been missing that grr_red floor (as well as sleep), so obliged with an earlier to bed pass.

This morning's numbers were a permission slip to do a cross border strips run. My friend usually picks them up for me in Bellingham, but ADW took an extra day to deliver so I missed the timing of my friend's last visit down there. I was down to a little over 100 strips (plus the same for my back up meter) and was feeling a little nervous. :lol: When we were coming back over the bridge to home, the sun was shining on the top of the snow topped mountains and a rainbow shone across the sky, ending about where our house is. So I just knew Neko had been doing the rainbow run today.

I hate getting low on strips. I'm glad you were able to get some today. At least you had an early warning with the rainbow about what Neko was doing today. :lol:

Hey guys, glad you got a pass to sleep last night, sometimes we just need that. A rainbow for both of you today how cute! LOL on only having 100 strips left I am the same way, sucks you have to cross the border to get them. Hope Neko stays in the lagoon tonight.

So now I'm wondering how low Neko went while I was gone. That's up quite a bit for her. Oh well, she probably wasn't too low.

@Carla - Even though I had over 200 strips, I did get nervous. Mid week is perfect timing for the trip, next to no border line-up. Neko does the rainbow a lot from pinks, so I wasn't really surprised.

@Michelle - The sleep was much appreciated, it'd been a long stretch in between night time bounces. Cross border strips use less blood and cost less than 1/2 the price of those for my back up meter.

Hi guys,

At least you can get insulin much cheaper in Canada and don't even need a prescription. So I guess it evens out! Interesting day of numbers for Neko.

Enjoy the evening. Neko, will you visit the lagoon? Rusty is on shore today, but he's keeping an eye on things.

Looks like she is surfing the blues now. She was STARVING for almost an hour before dinner. Silly kitty! She did have a good hour outside late this afternoon. So nice that it's getting dark visibly later, as we have the "no kitties out after dark" rule.

@Barb - The mountains were beautiful with the new snow on them. The rainbow made me wish I had my camera. Me too on staying off pink, but she could to one of two ways tonight. :lol: And she's not telling.

@Ella - I think I spend more on strips than insulin, but I like the smaller drop of blood from the Relion's too. Neko's on shore, but maybe she and Rusty can put their toes in together later.

@Anne - Neko learned from the expert Z-man.
