Good morning!
Poo update: no poo after PMPS last night. I hope she isn't still blocked nailbite_smile

Other than that, Ripley is doing ok. She greeted me with meows and an appetite this morning. CPC, then her A/B; then looked sad (nausea?).

I'm going w/ a friend to her vet today; she's going to learn how to administer fluids to her CRF kitty, so I'm tagging along for the demo, since it looks like that's where Ripley is heading.

I hope LL has a good day today!

Re: 1/29 Ripley AMPS 185

Good morning Josie. Nice blue AMPS to start Ripley's day. Sorry I didn't get to your condo during the Big Event. I'm glad everything went well. PurrFace smacked his lips but I noticed he was getting rid of the drool. Brave to try to do it yourself.

Have a great day.

Hi Josie. That's great that Ripley had an appetite this morning. Also great you can tag along with your friend to learn the subq's. Have a great day!

Thanks for visiting, John and Anne!

I wasn't able to test today, but I don't think there was a chance of her dropping. Last week's urine culture came back: UTI, with very strong bacteria. THREE MORE WEEKS of Clavamox. ohmygod_smile

There was no poo today. Vet's going to feel her for more constipation/blockages tomorrow when I pick up more AB. Another enema might be necessary, but I hope not. (However, since I'm an old pro at it, I know it can be done!)

A good sign that she's feeling better: saw 2 things tonight that I haven't seen in several months: She greeted me at the door, and she kneaded her blankie! I didn't realize that she has altogether stopped kneading until I saw her do it tonight.

I apologize for any typos & the lack of words on others' condos -- my computer is sick, and using my phone is pretty challenging on this site. I'm visiting you all, just not typing. Sorry.

Sending vines to those who need them tonight!

Hi, Marje! I just watched the video today! I saw it several months ago, too, when Rippo was first diagnosed with kidney concerns, but don't remember how I initially found it. Today I fell in love with Gus all over again! He's such a sweetie pie! And, of course, the video is very informative. Have yet to talk to vet about fluid treatment but hope to soon.

Best,
Josie

Did much "solid" and hard come out the first time?

If the vet thinks she is still constipated, next time tilt her rear up for 5-10 minutes after administering the blue slime and let it work its way in. They always want to go right away, but if you can hold her up and keep it soaking in a bit longer, you might better get more out.

However many days of missing poo should all come out. :o

No solid, only mush.

5-10 mins?!? Yowzers. That's about 2 hrs in Kitty Time.

Thank you for the advice. If there's an enema Part II, I definitely want to do my best to make sure it settles in nice and good.

You are enema teacher now!! Moonie usually has both, but you cant enema her everyday? Gotta give her a little rest..Moonie goes normally every other day or so, but since her massages, she's has been pooing every day!! It''s a miracle! Hope all comes out alright & she feels good--Hugs & Love from us!!
