My morning started off with a bang. First, I tested that 571 at +11.5 :shock: bad timing of R last night, probably, and I had fallen into a deep sleep while watching T.V. on the couch and did not wake up to any cell phone alarms, so he may have gone lower in the 4+ hours between tests, but I remember my cell phone hitting the wall in the middle of the night :oops: . When I got up this morning, I could not find it anywhere nailbite_smile That is my only phone, and the vet tech is supposed to call me this morning with instructions.
I gave J.D. his shot early because of the high number, and proceeded to look everywhere for my phone, and finally, I just found it YAY!

Damn, J.D. just went slightly formed pudding poo!!! Stink! I am waiting to give him his ABs for another hour to get some more food into him.
Or maybe, I should give him the ABs now (it's only been 11 hours since his last dose, so there it that), and get more food into with FortiFlora in it, after the awful taste leaves his mouth.

Ugg, so it's been a morning :)

additional stressmakers :-|

Hopefully the day can only improve from that start :smile:

Thank you Bruce. I think it will improve. The sun is out and the sky is blue, and J.D. is eating.
I think I'll give him the ABs now.

well at least we are down to the red floor lets keep on moving down JD slow and steady way too many cats on the upper deck today must be a secret party going on up there that us Beans are unaware of :-D

Wonder how your cell phone ended up hitting the wall last night? :lol: Glad you found it especially expecting the vet tech call.

I really don't want J.D. to be really high tomorrow. Maybe, I should give him half a dose tomorrow morning or something?

We will be leaving at 6:30am. I'll try to post before we leave, but good dental vines and fast recovery vines are appreciated, please. I need the support from my family and friends :)

When I talked to the vet tech this afternoon, she said that the doctor wanted me to bring a syringe and his insulin.
I himmed and hahhed and she said he may want to give him some insulin after the procedure.
Right now, he is scheduled for the first dental at around 12:00pm. If his dental is done in the early afternoon I really don't want the doctor giving him insulin at 2:00pm. What would I do, shoot again at 6:00pm or wait all the way until 6:00am the next morning to give his shot?

Just jitters talking, I guess :roll:

Boy, if he's still high, I'd be tempted to give him a half dose. I think that is what Sienne just did with Gabby. I'd check out Gabby's SS.

How about getting in touch with Jill or Libby? I'm wondering if you were to use R in the AM, it should be gone by noon. As for the vet giving a shot, you may need to think about dosing on 2 18-hour blocks to get back on schedule but I'd touch base with Libby or Jill about that.
