HAPPY THURSDAY!!

As my grandma used to say, "I don't know no news." All is well with Hershey. And, we're expecting snow tonight. Great night for flannel jammy pants and homemade soup.

Okay - I do know news - my son just called to say he's had a wreck - I do NOT like this long-distance parenting! gotta go

Hi Hershey lets change your yellow surf for a blue one

Hope your son is ok and the wreck was not serious

Thanks, Lisa. He said he's okay; I hope everyone is, but I don't want to tie up his phone. And, I, too, HOPE the damage is minimal. Parenting is sooo much easier when you can be physically present when they need you. nailbite_smile

I hope Hershey listens to you. I wouldn't mind seeing a little more blue...

Nothing else I can do from here right now. So -

Oh Libby, I can so sympathize with the long distance parenting! Two years ago, during my DD Katie's first real winter in Missouri... I got an early morning phone call that started with her sobbing and crying...
Once she could talk clearly enough for me to comprehend it, it was along these lines "Dad, I'm in a ditch on the side of the road and I don't know what to do..." Her first time ever driving on snow, and she locks the brakes and slides off the road into a ditch! They don't learn how to avoid that in driver's Ed in SC, lol. And she'd never heard of "snow tires". She was okay, the car was okay, and her hubby rescued her. Funny now, but not so much then! I could have rescued her too, but he was about 20 hours closer.

Hope Joe (and the car) are fine.

Now, Mr. Hershey.... knock it off dude. You've got the color scheme backwards. It goes yellow, then blue, then green. Not vice versa.

Carl

Hey, Carl - Thanks. My daughter went to school 1-1/2 hours away, so I knew I could get to her if she needed me. He's only 3 hours away, but that's still too far to up and go at a moment's notice. I think I'll be glad when this day is over. Jessica had to cancel her babysitting job because the car was giving her problems and Doug was at work. Guess it was just as well since I was worried about the snow coming in and her driving. I was actually worrying about Joseph earlier with all of this rain, wind, and the snow coming in...I try to keep refocusing on the fact that he told Doug he's okay. That doesn't fix the car, but it could've been worse. A 16-year old friend of ours was involved in a serious one-car accident this morning and is currently in a medically induced coma in PICU. They don't even know what happened because he hasn't been awake. He's a good driver; I keep thinking maybe he hit standing water. Things can happen so quickly...praying for him and his family...

Clearly, Hershey didn't listen to you or Lisa or me, either...he thinks pink is the color of the evening - arrgghh. I thought he would've settled into the decrease by now (6 cycles) but clearly not. Not sure when to think about increasing back to .75u since I don't like to make changes around Sundays...but, then Monday is a holiday and we're going to see baby Sammy...

Anyhoo - heading to bed. Goodnight and thanks for visiting today!
