Good Morning LL,

Leo is doing well, we had a really good weekend, very low key. He's been a very lovey, purry kitty. I woke up to my alarm going off and Leo's face about an inch from mine purring up a storm..... :YMHUG:

We should get his blood work results today, i am very nervous! Fingers and toes crossed everything comes out ok. We had a really good test, shoot and feed this morning with his favourite breffis being served (great choice duck dinner) he's now resting on his favourite ikea chair purring. Life is good!

I leave for work on Thursday and when i come home the following week, i'll be here with Leo for 3 weeks! I'm taking a hazardous materials specialist course that will be in the city, i've gotta figure out a schedule so i can keep Leo with me, i'm sure he'll be very excited to be home with me for that long.

We are sending Mannie some get well/appy vines this morning. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Re: 1/14 Leo AMPS 133

Nice report and gorgeous start for Leo!!! Good luck with the BW results. It sounds like he's feeling so well that there can't possibly be anything too far out of line!

Have a great day!!

Re: 1/14 Leo AMPS 133

Morning Tracy and great start with the low blue. Sending many positive vines for good b/w results. Nice report on Leo, too. Have a great day.

Re: 1/14 Leo AMPS 133, +4 171, +7 83, +9 83 & BW results in

Leo's blood work results came in. He had a few wacky readings, his white blood cell count came back elevated, i did tell her (Dr Andrea) when we were in to see her that he had a few days previous where his appy was so-so and his numbers were high. That was the day DGpa called me in a panic over pink numbers and him not eating all that great, a day of pepcid seemed to cure that. Andrea said pancreatitis can increase white blood cells, and to watch him closely to make sure this isn't a UTI, since Leo has had them before he was diabetic i know what to look for. His liver enzymes came back the same as his last blood work results, still elevated but not going any higher, so we will leave it and recheck again in a month or two. I have to say i'm relieved! I gave a big sigh after she told me all of this and she said "yes, it is a relief isn't it?"

She will scan his results and email them to me later.

Leo is celebrating his good results w/ a dip in the Lagoon! Tess is there to welcome him, too! What a relief, waiting for those results is always nerve wracking. Home for 3 weeks, that kitty is going to get spoiled!

The LagoonMeister--on shore at present-- is very happy to see Leo surfing in the lagoon along with Tess.

Wait for me, guys, I'll be back there soon!

Hi Tracy, I'm glad that the b/w is OK and that Leo is feeling good. What a relief!
The 3-week course will be nice from the standpoint of being home with Leo (not so sure about the hazardous-materials part!!! Wear good gloves!!!!)

Have a great evening, guys. Wellness Core Turkey and Duck is 5% carbs, so only 1% higher than regular Wellness. But it is higher in protein and somewhat higher in fat. I guess everything contributes, including the cat's metabolism  He didn't have any today, so we'll see if he continues to go down to his normal range of numbers.

Hugs from us,

Ella & Rusty

Great day for Leo, it sounds like! Good numbers, nothing too far out in left field, Mom to be home for 3 whole weeks, AND cheap gas! It doesn't get much better than that!

So Leo hasn't had any issues with his thyroid? We started Thyrosin in November as he was a little low. 5 mg seemed to work great at bringing it up into the normal range. I put it in a bowl with FD chicken crumbs and he eats it as though it were a treat! Wish Moochie's Prozac went down so easily!

Hope you're having a good time enjoying winter activities. We've been warm this week (70s) - which I love, but will get back in the 50s to 30s starting tomorrow!

Any recent hunting reports? We might need Leo to send some frozen hinterland mousies to TC!

I check your SS from time to time. Glad to see he's still keeping his numbers down. Hoping that the next few months help them both continue to reduce!

Grayson sends his best!

Whew nailbite_smile on the BW, no change is good! Loving to see those blue and green numbers for Mr Mouse Hunter extraordinaire. And Mr Leo must be so delighted to have his MamaBean around for a long time! And thanks for sending that cold, crisp, fresh Canadian air to us. We love it! Of course, there were plenty of desert dwelling students on campus today in shorts and flip flops. :o We hope the reason is those are the only clothes and shoes they have and not something else more serious, like "no brain, no pain"!

Nice cycle for Leo today. He must be celebrating not being at the vet and his bean going to be home for 3 weeks. His DGPa is going to miss Leo. Good news on the B/W, it is indeed a big sigh of relief. I'm due to take Neko in for hers in a few weeks too. She's almost ready to join Leo in the lagoon.

Weather trivia: Anne/Liz/Zener's place was so cold the day before yesterday that it was the same temperature as Saskatoon. We got a light dusting of snow today, 0 C.

hi guys nice cycle for Leo today! Hope he dips back into the green lagoon again tonight! Sooo glad to hear the bw results were pretty good. Glad you can breathe a sigh of relief! Have a great night!

Glad you got the BW back. Dr Andrea is awesome. That is so exciting you get to be home with Leo for 3 whole weeks in a couple of weeks. Have a great night Tracy!!

Thanks for visiting everyone! I miss you guys, wish i could post more often but its hard when i'm only home with Leo half the time. Leo's thyroid keeps coming back normal, its crazy how differently the acro kitties react to SRT. I am glad to hear Grayson is doing well with his thyroid meds. And i hope Neko's b/w comes back normal too.

Lu, i'm sure Leo would love to be out mousing but there is over a foot of snow on the ground and it's always bitterly cold here in the winter......brrrrrrrr! I just found out today that its around -7F here today! The things i learn from FDMB and the internet  Mouse hunting season will most likely resume in March or April when all the snow melts. He hasn't spent more than 10 minutes outside since probably early November!

  @ Wendy for the weather trivia! Its supposed to be 4 degrees C here tomorrow with a nice sprinkling of freezing rain  I told Leo we will be going outside for a nice long walk if the forecast is right and its warm out.

Hi Tracy.....it feels so good, when the bw comes back okay, and you can breathe again :-D

Lucky Leo's gonna get his mama all to himself for three weeks? Woohoo!
What a lovely day, he had, and nice blue pmps, too.

Have a nice relaxing evening, Tracy

Leo is going to be so excited to have his bean home for 3 weeks!! I'm glad to hear the BW is stable. Are you giving Leo any supplements for his liver?

Thanks Barb and Sienne for the visit.

No Sienne Leo is not on any supplements....yet. Andrea and i spoke about putting Leo on some samE and omega 3's, so i have to talk to her about that since i forgot all about it when we spoke this afternoon.
