1/7 Ripley PMPS 161

Good morning!

Wishing everyone a great Monday!

Not much to report, but I must confess that I'm nervous about leaving Ripley alone all day (she dropped into the 20s on Fri., and it was a fluke that my DH happened to be at home and caught it!). I'm sure she'll be fine, but I sure don't like that kind of surprise!

I spent all weekend at home monitoring (except for a few errands here and there), and postponed movie plans. The movie I want to see is 2.5 hrs long (Les Miz), so driving, plus previews = 3 hrs. Think I'll come home after work, test, go see movie, rush home in time to dose. (Not that you all are interested in my plans, but typing it out helps me make sense of it all :roll: .)

Something funny just happened! Yesterday I made a comfy new bed (basket + blankie) for my civvie ~ felt bad for her because of all the attention/treats Ripley's been getting), and I just looked over to find Ripley peeing in it. That part makes me frustrated; the funny part, and I'm sure only LL will get this, is that I saw that as an opportunity to run and get a ketone test strip! (Negative, BTW.) :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I understand your nervousness about leaving Ripley alone.. I do that sometimes and I worry all day about my babies... some people leave out medium carb on those days.

Peeing in her new bed! Cats!!!! LOL. Once you have washed and removed the pheromones etc you could try putting catnip or her favourite blanket in it.. maybe she wont pee on that!Maybe...

Hi guys .. oh boy, those 20's certainly can be surprising! I'm sure all will be fine today .. and if you need to, there is always MC food as well .. I hope you get to see your movie tonight .. we DO have to include some time for ourselves! Now ripley, no more peeing in cat beds, ok? have a great day guys!

HI guys nice amps today, I totally understand you worrying about Ripley while you are gone! I feel that every day! Totally normal. I have been wanting to go to the movies lately too but haven't found the right time to go when I can leave Scrabble so been netflixing everything, ha! Too funny about the cat bed, sucks for your civvie! Hope you have a great night!

Ripley is doing well and Ai hope she won't pull another drop on you like the other day.

Hope you got out to see the movie...I really want to go but haven't been able to yet. :lol: :lol: Ripley and the new bed and you making lemonade out of "lemons".

Yay! Went to the movie! And Ripley is did ok without me hovering over her every breath! Maybe I'll go see another one tomorrow...

It's funny how just when things feel comfortable & predictable, a curve ball is thrown and brings you back down to earth. I guess a part of having a sugarcat is dealing with the delicate balance of confidence & security vs. worry & doubt... Yet another lesson to master. Or at least acknowledge.

Congrats on the negative ketone & you've enjoyed the movie! :lol: Same here, I can leave home for more than 3, 4 hrs the most because I cannot leave food with 21 cats at home But somehow, we'll get used to the schedule! :lol:
