Good morning,

Got a 4:30am (+11) wake up call a la Shasta. I guided her to her bowl where she found a little snack to tide her over until breffis. When my alarm finally went off. She was not to happy that I was no longer snuggling with her. I did get some purrs before getting out of bed and she decided she wanted to play w/ sassy string before she got her breffis. Her appy is so-so. I had to sit down next to her just to get her to consider eating some fud. now, she's staring at my toes. Strange girl. There was good action in the LB as of last night. I'll check the LB in a bit.

Exams start today and go until Thursday. Then, pack up the cat and drive 8 hours on Friday to go to my parent's house. Not sure what to do about her shot that morning (Friday), but I'll ask that later. Hope everyone has a good day. Blessings for all and especially Roni, Brad & Moonie. Come on Moonie, POOP!

Re: 12/17 Shasta AMPS=207

Morning, don't you just love kitty wake up calls? LOL, I got one of those this morning too. Good luck with your exams and the car ride. Have a great day!

Hi Michelle, me and the kitty wake up calls have a love/hate relationship. I love to hate them!!! Actually, I don't hate them as much as I say I do...mainly because it lets me know that she's still alive...but then I start to worry that she's trying to tell me something...like she's Lassie reincarnate! ;-) Hope you and Scrabble are enjoying your Monday!

Hi Devon, my toes did not need to worry. Apparently, Shasta really wasn't interested in eating much of anything. NOW, had I dipped them in some FF Elegant Medley Florentine...maybe I would have gotten a nibble. Hope you and Mocha are having a lovely Monday!!!!

So, Shasta decided to freak me out, yet again, and pull one of her dramatic dives...it's dramatic because she started with a low yellow and quickly dove into the blues and then yoyo'ed some. The major issue being: this time I couldn't go home to check on her due to exams. I did have a neighbor run by and make sure she was alive. She was asleep on my bed and looked at my friend with that "What are you doing here? Why are you bothering me?" look that she's known for! ohmygod_smile I can't handle these bounces!!!! I wish she would reverse them...low at night and high in the day!!! UGH!

Surf safely today, Shasta, while your bean earns more green. I hope you gave tests that are easy to grade, Deborah.

 I do, Liz! They have to sing for me (vocal range singing & sight singing)...easy grading!!!! :-D Shasta's bouncing is starting to drive me nuts. She almost got dragged into work today and I'm threatening her for tomorrow. Hope exams are/were easy for you, too!

Re: 12/17 Shasta PMPS=291 +1=261

Hi Deborah, seems like we have more than a few kitties who like to give early alarms to their Beans. I almost get one an hour before the alarm goes off! That's a nice neighbor to check on Shasta. That's exciting with your trip home coming up this Friday.

Re: 12/17 Shasta PMPS=291 +1=261

Maybe easy grading for you... Mine have calculations with complex numbers and the options for errors are numerous. Can you test Shasta in the car?
Liz

Hi Ann, You're right, my neighbor is a good person. She's my land lady (my home and my horse's home!) and my "local" mom. I taught her daughter for 5 years (1 middle school year and 4 high school years!). I only wish my little Shasta liked her. I just have to remind myself that Shasta doesn't like anyone!! haha. As for going home, I was looking forward to it until my sister warned me about my dad. His memory is starting to go and there are some major problems with the house and mortgage, etc. :YMSIGH: She told me to wear my thick skin...I think I'll take my patience pants, too. :YMSIGH:

Hi Liz, It's easy grading for me, but definitely not easy for those kids. Talk about heart palpitations!!!! They're so funny about having to sing by themselves...every insecurity bubbles up. Then I have to step in as mom, big sister, counselor, etc. Good luck with your exams. Do you have a TA?! As for testing Shasta in the car, I can. I only worry about her eating/not eating on the drive and then there's always the LB problem. I've tried taking an LB with me before, but she's in her cage the entire time (I don't let her roam the car at will) and when I let her out to see if she'll use the LB...she wants to have nothing to do with it. I don't know...this is the first time I've ever worried about this stuff.
