Good morning! ~O) ~O) ~O)

Well, we were all happy that this new dose was giving us some lower numbers, but then I threw Leo in the Magic Box of Terrors and things weren't the same after. Sure, I expected a little bounce from the new greens, and yeah, travel BGs, but I thought we'd escaped New Dose Wonkiness. Apparently not. I'd expected him to fall later in the night, but no dice.

Leo is getting better about the commute. He sits next to me on the center console for a while, watching everything go by, and he's getting good at keeping his balance during turns and stops and accelerations. I thought for sure he was going over the handle bars when one a$$hole cut us off on the highway and I grabbed Leo's harness, but he really didn't need me to. Good boy! Then he curled in the back after 45 minutes or so (also the trend) ... but then ... pukus. And not in the littler box, where's he's made it to before the last couple pukes. No, he just did it right there on the seat ... the only surface not covered by a pee pad, towel, cat bed, carrier or me. Yuuuuuucck. Gotta love cleaning cat barf out of the holes the seat belt comes through. The rest of the trip was uneventful - he slept (passed out? zoned?) the rest of the way curled in his bed.

Here's hoping the little guy can come down from his numbers nicely. I hate these travel reds.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!

Re: 11/30 Leo AMPS 447

Morning Lisa, and bet that is a travel red. Hope Leo comes down, and we have just the ticket for it -- a day with Mannie and the kitties. Not sure what the day's adventure is for them. I'd better go check it out! Oh bummer on the pukus on only uncovered spot! That's great leo is getting more adjusted to the trip. Have a nice day.

Re: 11/30 Leo AMPS 447

Woah there Leo! That is not a good color at all on you. Come on down. I'm glad he is getting used to the travel a little better. Hope you have a great day Lisa!

Re: 11/30 Leo AMPS 447

I agree with Melissa Leo, this is just not a pretty color on you. Let's clear the NDW and travel woes and settle down. But how cool is it that you are becoming more comfortable in the terror box. Maybe soon you can view it as your chariot and enjoy the ride.

Have a great day!
Karen

Wooh thats not good Leo! Work the juice! Come down froom the roof...
Hang in there Lisa. We all understand how that awful color is eating our heart nailbite_smile

Re: 11/30 Leo AMPS 447

Boooo on the red floor this morning Leo! Come on down for your bean! That stinks about the pukus in the car, ewwwww! Car traveling is never fun with kitties, glad he is tolerating it pretty well. Hope he comes down nicely for you today. Happy Fursday!

Re: 11/30 Leo AMPS 447

Come on down Leo, I know you feel awful after the torture box, but it's all over now.

Have you considered one of those sling type back seat covers? You could probably make one pretty cheaply w/ a waterproof mattress pad and a fleece blanket. You jusr need to add straps to go around the headrests.

I see Leo is slowly getting over his bounce/travel woes. Sometimes Neko's cycles 2 or 3 after the low green event are worse than the one immediately following. It's good to hear that he is slowly getting used to the trip. Oops on the pukus, but that's better than the other bodily fluids he's done.

Paws crossed for some nicer colours this weekend.

Hi all - busy day working, about ready to go pick up some sushi for dinner.

Hi Ann - I hope Leo's day with the kitties visiting the falls gives him an idea what fun it would be to get there! Oh well on the pukus. Luckily I have leather seats and not fabric!!!

HI Melissa - Slowly it seems like he is getting a little more used to it. I don't know if I should try a smaller dose of Cerenia for the barfs. Hmmm.

Hi Karen - he's coming down and not terribly fast so that's good. He does view it as a chariot for about 30 minutes, sitting high looking out the window!

HI Helen - thanks, I just hate that awful red!

Hi Tara - drat that moon! Too bad we couldn't see the eclipse over on the east coast. Those cats and that moon party of theirs!

Hi Michelle - Thanks, he's listening and he's come down some. Maybe we'll get a blue tonight?

HI Ann - I saw one of those sling things and was concerned about the pukus factor and having to toss in the wash all the time (well, it doesn't look like it would be that easy to wash! I didn't think of making my own. I'll have to think if I can do that with his litterbox around there somehow. Thanks for the idea!

HI Wendy - LOL you are right! At least I didn't have to smell the pukus the entire trip like some other accidentals he's had! Hmm on Neko - it looks like that's what Leo did. Interesting another cat does something similar, so maybe the travel was only part of it. Hope so!

Hopefully Leo will get to the point where he doesn't throw up on the car trips. I hope he slides down for you tonight.

I'm glad to see Leo is heading down. You might want to get some early tests just in case he picks up some momentum.

HI Carla - I hope so too - thanks!

Hi Sienne - I woke up for a +2 and will be getting a +4. It seemed like he might have a little tank action. I fed him Chicken feast for his #2 for a little boost, and it's in his feeder for +3 meal. Don't know if he'll eat it. We'll see.

Looks like Leo is coming down nicely, great  Sorry about the pukus. on the seat. But thinking about Leo surfing along on the console is pretty cute. Good that he is getting used to the commute.

Have a good night,
Kathie

Hi Lisa,

The way you tell the story of the pukus is very funny though I know cleaning up wasn't. Poor Leo. It sounds like he has the run of the car though and should be enjoying the trip. I make Racci sit in her carrier. Boo, I'm a mean old mom. I do let her have the top open though so she can sit up and look out. All kids use seat belts in my car, including fur kids. I have a big collapsible cage for really long rides. I worry about Racci falling or going on the floor by my feet or flying if I make a short stop. She's very clumsy.

Leo's +2 looks very nice. I think he's coming down!

Good night & pleasant dreams!
Hugs,
Melanie & Racci
