Thank you everyone for your support, suggestions, vines, and prayers. LL has done it again! The Kibby I brought home last night was definitely not the Kibby I had dropped off in the morning. He was ravenous when he got home yesterday, and ate about 8oz of food over 2 hrs. He was walking around, venturing up and down the stairs, and finally settled in a NORMAL spot, under the chair in my room. I did not give pain meds last night, as he seemed to feeling so good. This morning was even better. There was a very small and hard and dry LB deposit waiting for me, so I bagged it up to show the vet. Kibby was feeling so good, he even wanted to go outside. Of course, when I refused this request, I think he figured that something was up. After dropping off the DGD's, I came home to get him for another day at the vet. I couldn't find him anywhere! ohmygod_smile I checked everywhere I could think of in the house. I was 99.9% sure there was no way he could have gotten outside. I opened cans of food...no response. I got the treats out, and shook them, calling for him...got all the other animals in the house, but no Kibby. Then it occured to me to check under DS's bed. I don't think I've ever looked for a cat under there. Being a teenage boy, there were many things under the bed, even 2 cat-shaped looking forms, but I couldn't see well enough to tell what they were. So I decided to quit looking for him, in the hopes he would show himself. After about a half hour, I finally remembered where the flashlight was, and checked all the hidey holes and out-of-the-way places again. When I got to DS's bedroom - lo and behold, one of those cat-shaped forms actually WAS Kibby! I'm sure he was laughing at me the first time I looked under there - looked right at him and didn't even see him.

His temp was normal all day today. He got IV fluids again, and 2 injections of cefazolin. He was not at all painful or bothered by an abdominal exam, so no pain meds given. He got lactulose to help with the pooping, and Dr sent laxatone home to give for the next 3 days. If no poop by tomorrow afternoon, he's to go back in for further assistance. ;-) They were all a little disappointed they had to send him home this evening. Apparently he's been pretty lovey and affectionate with them the last 2 days. Except for today when they were taking his temp  They said he let them know in no uncertain terms that he was not happy about that! So I am to resume the zeniquin tomorrow.

He talked to the lab to see if he could get any results, and was told the test was running. They are short-staffed due to the holiday, so it could even be Friday before we get an answer. But for now, Kibby is feeling much much better, and I am thrilled about that.

I am soooo glad! Yay for Kibby! Too funny about looking under the bed right at him...   Sending poo vines.

That's wonderful. I'm glad Kibby is doing so much better. Hopefully you'll get the test results back soon so you can know what is really going on.

Good morning. I am so glad that Kibby is doing better. I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you so much for visiting everyone! Kibby continues to feel well this morning. I saw him in the middle of the night up on the desk, finishing Muffin's leftovers. No poop in the LB, tho, so I'll have to watch for that, and if nothing by this afternoon, I'll take him back in. I don't want to get in the position of having problems on Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
