11/5 Leo AMPS 376, +6 39!!!! +6.5 83

Good Morning LL,

Leo had a good weekend with his DGP's while I went west to visit my sister. DGpa said he was a really good boy, DGpa said one morning he got up and tested and fed Leo and went BTB, it wasn't until DGma noticed Leo hadn't moved from his testing spot that she saw the syringe with insulin still in it that she realized Leo hadn't gotten his shot yet. What a smart boy to realize something was missing!

We are at the vetty right now, Leo had half of the bile acids test done this morning. He had to start fasting at +2.5 last night for it. It was pretty tough for my little man, I slept in and when I got up Leo was licking the floor where his dish was.....awww. So he had his fasted test done and I fed and shot him at the vetty and now we are waiting for the +2 test. So with the late shot, eating like a spoiled brat last night, and vetty stress I got a 376 this morning!!!! Hopefully this test will give us some answers as to why his liver enzymes are so high.

Will check back later when we get home.

Hi guys .. wow, talk about a smart kitty! Had we ever forgotten to give mocha her shot trust me, we'd never of heard a sound from her :lol: I hope the rest of the testing goes well and you get some good answers from all of it .. have a great day guys!

Will be keeping fingers and paws crossed that the tests will provide you with some information. Wow, that is quite a drop at +6! Leo, are you making up for the 376? Let's try not to have so much drama, OK?

I spoke to Dr. Andrea about Leo's elevated liver enzymes, she said it could very well be due to acromegaly having an effect on Leo's liver, that he's now got just a bigger liver than normal and therefore produces more liver enzymes. We should have the results of the bile acids test tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. I told her i'd like to start him on supplements no matter what the outcome is and of course she was worried about stressing him out by taking pills, if she only knew how crazy he is over pill pockets she might change her mind!! :lol:

I just about went litterbox in my pants when i saw that 39, Leo got a few kibbles and a can of some 15%.

Hi Tracy, wow on the 39 :shock: -- Leo gets a reducie! He sure came up nice with the 83! :mrgreen: Good luck on the bile acids test. Maggie also loves those pill pockets. It sure makes givig pills easy

Wow Leo, way to scare the bean!! Quite the drop from the morning. Paws crossed here for good results from the vetty visit today. When you had the CT scans done at CSU, did they say anything about a larger liver? I had asked about Neko and they said that there were no changes to her organs. The liver supplements sound like a good idea, especially if it means more pill pockets.

That makes sense about the acro and his liver. Please keep us posted on the bile acid tests.
