He was 240 at +10, and jumped 300 points in 2 hours?!? I can't figure out if he got into something. Molly's food was up on a counter and he never jumps up there (that we know of) and it doesn't look touched. @-) @-) @-) Yesterday was such a nice day after the blammo AMPS. Hopefully today he will cruise back down from the stratosphere again. Sheesh. FART CAT!

I just took Molly in for her dental. She will have at least one extraction. She's been in pain I think for a while, but we couldn't do the dental until some of her bloodwork stabilized. So FINALLY we get her in, and I hope much of her lethargy, clinginess, loss of appetite are from mouth pain. Fingers crossed for my little girl Molly.

Morning Lisa and my gosh, Leo, please climb on down from that floor! That's definitely not a Leo number. I wonder if he could have gotten into something! Mannie did the same thing yesterday. Maybe it is rebellion against this time change thing! :lol: Leo will come down.

I just read Leo your admonistions to GET HIS BUTT DOWN! He looked at me, and then turned around and licked his butt.

Molly is done with her dental! They have a roaming tech who has a digital X-ray, and he did the cleaning and X-ray and found that the tooth was fine - just a huge chunk of tartar that was encroaching into the gums and inflaming them pretty badly. So they had to do some gum trimming in a few places, but overall, it was "just a routine cleaning"!!! No extractions! I'm pretty surprised at this one. Our vet warned us that an extraction was highly probable. Good thing we waited for the traveling tech. Molly will come home later and get Royal Treatment and Temptations

Devon - I can't find any evidence, but he's still really high. I wonder if he tanked in the night and I didn't catch it. Hmmm. Just when I think I start to see a pattern....and a nice stretch of blues.... KaBANG!

Rhiannon - yeah, the boy likes to make a point, you're right. Stinker. Thank you - Molly did good!

Ann - I don't know about contraband now ... would it keep him so high for so long? He's done a few long (double) cycles in blues and then slammed a red or black at the end. I'm wondering about that.

Mags - yeah, got the bean all confused! Yay! Maybe she RECONSIDERS giving me time-outs, you think? Heehee! I look for secret stashes of Halloween candy! Yeah - I'm ready for the road trip - see ya there sis! ~Leo

Hi Lisa & Leo,
I looked at Leo's SS, but I am not skilled at interpreting spreadsheets of other kitties (I have enough troubles with Rusty's). If there is no evidence of contraband, it could just be that you have a kitty who likes to dive and bounce. Maybe a switch to Levemir? I hope that Marje or Ann (Tess) will take a look at your SS. Both had very bouncy kitties and the switch to Lev. (in addition to a lot of work figuring it all out) produced good results.

I hope that Molly will have a comfortable evening. Even without an extraction, if the gums had to be "trimmed" it will still be painful for a while. Sending her some healing vines.

HI Ella - I'll go looking for contraband, but sometimes he does this double-cycle cycle thing and then fly up for a while. But he's been much better about coming down. I don't know about reading ss's either. I have to read up about Lev. I go to get Molly in about an hour, bless her little furry calico heart!

Good news about Molly and no extractions. Paws crossed that the removal of the tartar brings back some of her energy. Yeah of the traveling tech! I wish we had one here. Make sure she gets lots of scritches from all of us and a few extra Temptations. But NONE for Leo. Sheesh! I had heard that dry food lasts a while in the system. But REALLY? Then again, maybe Leo is like Neko and likes to go high before he goes low.

I'm glad Molly didn't have to have an extraction. Hopefully the cleaning will make her feel better and eat better. I hope Leo comes down for you soon.

Hi Carla - yes, VERY happy no extraction!!! She is sacked out upstairs. I have her a bowl of tuna water as a treat. She was in heaven!

Hi Wendy - scritches from you are on the way, but I realized we have to hold off on the Temptations and hard food for a few days. Yeah I think he could dip in the night - where else could he go?!?

could it possibly be that Leo didn't like Molly getting so much attention and figured he'd get you focused on his little drama self?

Oh Leo. What ARE you doing up there? You definitely don't want us to figure you out, do you? I just don't think being grounded is the answer.

Lisa, hang in there. I can't imagine how discouraging this must be for you. But, remember. He loves you and you are still giving him a better life than he life he had before!!!

Ok Molly. Let's hope this tartar clean will get her healed up quickly. :smile: But she is probably enjoying her treats.
