Quick post from tbp. Power out this morning from wet snow. Not very fun testing, feeding and shooting by candlelight/flashlight. I gave Furball her shot 15 minutes late because I debated whether to open the refrigerator or not. Since it is cold and snowy, I can always put her insulin in a cooler outisde if the power isn't back on by the time I get home from work. I stepped on poor M.C.'s tail when she was eating breakfast because I couldn't see very well. The cats were all stirred up this morning, but seemed to be happy to follow me around, making it harder to not step on them.

I had about 2 inches of wet snow on my car this morning. I have been here for 1 hour and already have another inch of wet snow on my car. The radar is covered with snow. Very bad day to be out. What a mess.

I hope all the other LLers affected by Sandy are doing okay. I'm still praying for everyone.

WOAH, a *lot* of snow! It's so weird to think of you there with snow on your car, and here we're hopping into the pool! I'm sending you a little of our spring sunshine

Stay safe!
Hugs

Carla, please stay safe when driving home. I saw on the news all the snow in West Virginia. Stay safe vines and prayers for you and kitties,

I'm glad you're okay. Please drive safely, and slowly.

I would check the temp. outside before leaving your insulin out there. I wouldn't want it to freeze. Better warmer in the fridge than frozen in the snow.

HI guys .. Glad to hear you're ok .. It is definitely more interesting testing in the dark without power! I hope your power comes back on soon .. and I agree with Dyana, you don't want that insulin to freeze outside .. try to stay safe and warm!

Re: 10/30 Furball, AMPS=298 I think

We lost power at work and they sent us home. Thank God our power is back on at home.

Dyana & Devon thanks for the warning about the insulin freezing. I did think of that after I posted, but couldn't get back on at work because the internet went out before the power did.

Thanks for the wishes for safety everyone. I'm hoping the power stays on. It just blinked a few minutes ago. The drive home wasn't as bad as the drive in to work. They have been treating the roads, but it is still snowing. It has slowed down some.

I hope everyone affected by the storm is safe. They have us under a winter storm warning until 5 PM today. This is early for us. This is all from Sandy. We usually don't get snow like this until at least December.

ETA: Furball's AMPS was 298. I wasn't sure if I remembered when I was posting at work this morning.

Oh Carla!! I forgot where you lived. I was thinking someone lived in WVA but couldn't remember who. I'm so glad you are ok and that they sent you home AND your power is back on so you can stay warm.

Keeping you in our prayers and hoping Furball has a nice, quiet day and they both settle down with you at home. Be safe. Hugs.

Glad to hear you are okay.
If you lose power again, you can put some snow in tupperware containers and put it in the refrigerator separate from the insulin to
help keep the fridge cooler. It will slow down the fridge from getting too warm.

Rhiannon that is a good idea. I would have never thought of that. Hopefully I won't need to. The snow is supposed to clear out of here tomorrow.

Hi Carla, glad to hear that you got your power back on at home and they let you go home today. Extra snuggle time with the kitties - bonus! Here's hoping that snow melts soon. If it was like here then not everybody has their snow tires on yet or is ready for snow when it comes.

HI Carla-
what a day you've had! Glad you got to come back home. Nothing better than a snow day. I hope Furball is doing well this evening. Just wanted to stop by and check in on you guys.

Hi Carla - oh my on your ay today. We have had reports of heavy snow in your area. I am glad that you guys are doing ok, that your power is back on. I know how hard it is to try and test with limited lighting. Hope it stays that way for you. I will be thinking of you guys. Be safe.
