AMPS 105 I guess we are just an example of the dawn phenomenon or 6.5 hrs without food raises her , needs that food.

Vet appointment is at 9 am tomorrow for Shadow.
I've already told them I won't do a fasting blood test so we'll have the discussion tomorrow. I'd be willing if they opened earlier but 10+hrs is too long.
I guess, :roll: it will be interesting to see how much the visit raises her bg.
It won't count against us as long as she goes back to normal shortly thereafter, right . :?:

Not really limping but she still has her personal valet service when I catch her wanting to get down.

DD is still in a lot of pain and really dislikes the random aches elsewhere in her body ( reactive arthritis?) .
I have always worried about her having some form of what I have ( connective tissue disorders ) and figured it would reveal itself
if she ever got pregnant. That's when mine started, having babies was too much for my system.
I have told her if she ever does have children, she should come home and we'll dote on her and keep her as healthy as possible.
It's so good to have a teenage daughter who wants to be around her momma... :mrgreen:

Hi Rhiannon, how did the Vetty appointment go as by now you must be home? I hope the they found the source of her limping. So sorry your daughter is still in pain. I know it can be hereditary but also can skip a generation. She is a lucky daughter to have you as her Mom. Sending DD some feel better and healing vines.

The vet appt is tomorrow.
I want to see the "good vet" who told me the correct things about Lantus except for the roll it in my hands part. I'll have to tell her
that should Not happen. She wasn't working today.
I'd sure like to know if there are other diabetic cats here in town. I'd like to help them if they need it.

So many challenges going on in your family - big hugs and healing vines for DD! :YMHUG: Sounds pretty awful. Hopefully Shadow won't have anything seriously wrong with her bum wheel. Maybe she just wants airlifts - who doesn't?

Hi Rhiannon, Great numbers for Shadow, she is a real surfmaster! :mrgreen: At this point her pancreas is working and if she even has a vet spike tomorrow it probably wont last long. When are you planning to start her trial? Your spreadsheet says 10/17 for today's numbers and I am pretty sure to day is the 16th. :?

Good luck at the vet tomorrow, hope they support your desire to do fd outreach in your area. I am working on my vet to at least encourage home testing, and refer people to this site as a resource. Also thinking about somehow getting info into the pet health column in our local paper, though its mainly about dogs :roll:

Sorry your DD is still hurting, healing vines and hope she gets some relief soon.

Looking good Shadow. You have this surfing thing done!!! Way to go. Now, just have a good vetty visit tomorrow. Tell momma to keep her stress level down so you won't feel her stressors and get a high BG...how's that sound? :lol:

Prayers to DD as well. No fun being sick and having to keep functioning on a day to day basis.
