Pirate Fitzel's Condo Cove

Bupe seems to be helping. The Pirate came to bedums last night. :-D And she let me love her up until Mama Bean fell asleep. And when I woke up, guess who was cuddled into my neck!!!! dancing_cat dancing_cat Seems the fright/anxiety from the vetty visit has finally worn off - that and some pain relief has given me back my loving Pirate Fitz!

I heard the test results on her Urine culture - she's NEGATIVE FOR ANY INFECTION!!!! :RAHCAT flip_cat

WCR - all 5P's in place this morning. She didn't join the clean plate club, but she ate enough for Mama to be happy.

@Marje - I'm not giving Fitzel any SubQ. Right now I'm adding water to her food. She wasn't dehydrated, at least not now. Thank you so much for the vines. They are needed and appreciated.

@Sienne - thank you for letting me know about the duration of bupe. Right now, she seems so much her old self that I'm delaying her morning dose. Don't know if that's wise or not, but I'm kinda feeling my way around this. Still haven't given her the appy stimulant, and might not if her appy stays where it was this morning. Thank you for the healing vines. Fitzel is most grateful.

@Chris - I wish I could be in the room with her too. They said it's a small room so I don't want to be the cause of any issues. The vet didn't say I would be an issue and maybe I could have pushed it. She's a new vet to me and encourages home testing. I guess I'm so thrilled to find someone who's okay with that that I don't want to jepordize anything. Thank you for vines. We need all we can get - both of us. :?

@Amy - thank you for stopping by and for your gracious vines. The Pirate is very grateful and so is her Mama Bean.

@Tortie58 - thank you for coming to our condo and for your vines of healing. btw: I saw your pics and adore your menagerie. How many furrs do you have? Such lucky, lucky little ones. And so colorful!!!!

Certainly gauge the use of the bupe. However, you need to remember a few things. Pancreatitis is incredibly painful. Cat's compartmentalize pain and don't show their discomfort until they are hugely uncomfortable. And, just like with people, you want to stay ahead of the pain vs. trying to catch up to counter it. Just my 2 cents....

Thank you Sienne. I gave her the bupe about an hour ago. I'll keep in mind what you said about the pain levels. I guess I saw her appy back and felt things might still be good in that area. I know better now.

dancing_cat ....and it sounds like you're better too. Good! dancing_cat
Hope the Pirate keeps feeling better. She knows you're trying everything you can to help her.
Keep up the good work!

WTG Fitzel at feeling much better and what a good girl for cuddling your momma and acting like your old self :)

My 2 cents worth is to follow your gut instinct as to not add appy stimulant at this time- as well bupe will work for pain relive and lower bg's as you can see from her levels. I did get info from my vet as to topical you use and they do not "think" fitz was ingesting enough for it to make a difference. Just wanted to let you know I did get an answer. As always call me whenever you need to :)
