Thanks everyone. DH went home at lunch and FB's breakfast was still there. Not sure what's up w/ his appy. But at least his numbers were consistent w/ the past couple days.

Mocha: Fur Ball is getting excited to dance with you!!!
Rhiannon: wouldn't that just be the coolest if Shadow follows suit (and FB stays on course....)

Ya know. I have no idea what the secret is.
He was a dry kibble boy his whole life. Once we got the Dx I did so much research and realized how horrible dry food was. (we lost 2 of my boys last year to kidney failure and I had begun to consider the negative effects of dry but wasn't willing to do anything drastic at that time). However, FD does cause one to be willing for the drastic. We made the transition to raw rather quickly and I think that sudden drop in carbs, plus the insulin, gave him a fighting chance. We just pray for his remission now. :smile:

You guys are doing great! The earlier beans get going with testing, LC food and long, slow insulin, the better chance of going OTJ. Every day I am grateful Jasper survived our initial well intentioned, undereducated efforts before we found FDMB and got with the LL program.
