Yesterday

Another very lovely start for Trix today, and she kept her green surf safe last night. Keep up the good work, girl!!

Very tragically, my BFF's SIL is not expected to make it. Her liver and kidneys have shut down, and the docs say the systemic damage is just too serious and too widespread. They're taking her off life support this morning. I've never met her personally (they all live in KY), but it is just so surreal that someone so young can fall so seriously ill and be gone within a matter of days. It is certainly a wake up call to take nothing and no one for granted. So, it is time to switch over to praying for peace for all of them. I know they can feel it. Thank you, LL!

ETA - I just got word that she passed away shortly before 7:00am this morning. So very sad....

Praying for peace for your BFF's family. That is just so sad. Know that we are holding them close to our heart in the coming days. ((((Hugs))))

I am so sorry about your BFF's SIL - how tragic, how sad. so so surreal. I will keep them in my thoughts today.

So sorry she is gone. Sounds like the life support was all that was keeping her going. Prayers for her family. That's such a shock

Amy, so sorry about your BFF's SIL passing away. I just saw your ETA note! My heart and prayers go out to your BFF and DSIL's family. It must seem like you know her being so close with your friend. So very sad and tragic.

I had to go on an impromptu kitty fuds run this evening. The new kibble I picked for my kibble-heads made Zen's IBD issues even worse. He just can't tolerate any fish or chicken. But, he doesn't like the traditional limited ingredient diets with their novel protein sources either. It's really tough. But, tonight I found Blue Basics Turkey...no chicken, fish, diary, eggs, soy, or grain. I hope this is the one. He was doing OK on the Wellness Core turkey (at least better than he's doing right now), but that crystal trend my vet is seeing in cats eating Wellness freaks me out. And Zen simply will not eat enough canned fuds to sustain life...I have tried so may flavors, so many tricks. Anywho...hopefully this one will work. I got a few others for Trix and Mario, too...but, even though I have list in hand when I go out, I still get overwhelmed by all the varieties and funny little names they have...nothing ever quite matches what I've written down.
