Yesterday was an icky day, mostly pinks, made worse by the bean doing a fur shot. Today we've at least made it to the yellow floor so far.
9/22 Recap:
AMPS 418 +3 366 +6 348
PMPS 306, fur shot, +3 375
Neko was ravenous before breakfast, as I expected, from the fur shot making her high. I put her on the foot of the bed for a bit, and got her purring with some scritches. That settled her down for a while until "the brat" aka Theo, decided to hop up on the bed. He marched down to the bottom of the bed and started a whack fest, so Neko promptly hopped off and went back to the kitchen mewing for food. I broke down 10 minutes early and started the test/feed/shoot. As usual Neko is CPC and having camped in front of the autofeeder while we were off rowing, she is now settled "hiding" on the ground cover under an azalea bush. I can see her from where I'm typing.
This bean will be dragging the rest of the day. Next week is the Deep Cove Classic Regatta, the race our club holds each year. That means our sadistic coach has us practicing the race course at race pace. The course is from our beach, across the inlet, around an island and back to the beach, 5.3 km. I was in a single scull, which I would never race in - too much work! It was a staggered start with me first, but I made it to and around the island first which was my goal. The water around the island is narrow and can get tricky navigating with other boats there. Needless to say, I burnt out but still had enough juice that I finished ahead of a couple of other boats (a double and quad). I will pay for that later today!
