9/16 Shasta

Good morning,

My little Shasta is quite sore from yesterday's anal sac expression battle. But on a good note, she's been eating her new FF Florentine Turkey!!!! But on a not so good note, she didn't leave much of a prezzie in the LB...1 pool of pee and 1 little, lone poo (emptied LB last night ~ +1PM). She snuggled with me a bit last night, but I think her back legs hurt right now and she is not voluntarily jumping up on the couch to love on me right now. :sad: I feel like such a bad mama bean. :cry: And now it's time for me to leave. ugh!

+5=94 (2% snack left out)

Well, you got some love last night, but yeah, it feels bad when you're helping them but hurting them at the same time. Leo's civvie Molly has to be expressed somewhat regularly and I can do it at home if they aren't too clogged. But at the vet I can hear her wailing through the walls. Then I feel so guilty! (But at least THEY are doing it so she doesn't associate that with me ... just the caged ride to and from the vet!)

I hope Shasta is feeling better by later today.

Morning Deborah - What a nice blue start for Shasta today. I hope her soreness improves throughout the day - I am sure it will. It is nice to read that she still likes her Turkey Florentine. Mannie would be so proud! Good job on the snuggles last night Shasta, maybe some more today?

Good morning! Wow, are Shasta's cycles starting to flatten out a bit? I hope so. Chicken Florentine is just about the only thing Zener will eat. As long as he eats, we are happy. Happy Monday!

Hooray that Shasta likes her new fuds!! I had a terrible battle finding food that Yahtzee and I would agree on, so I completely understand how exciting it is when you win that battle!

Don't you dare feel like a bad mama bean!! You are going above and beyond (yes, beyond to the nether-region) to make sure your furchild remains healthy!!! Shasta may not show you how much she appreciates it when she's sore, but it's sooooooo much better than the alternative. The soreness will subside, and she'll be back to herself jumping and lovin' and snuggling!

Good evening all! (HI Lisa, Michelle, Devon, Liz, Deb)

Thanks for visiting our condo today! Since getting home tonight, Shasta has been a sweety! Her appy is pretty good. She seems to be feeling a little better, jumped onto the couch and now is resting on the back of the couch. She had just eaten some 5% and 4% RIGHT before I took her +3. Like I said, she's eating well but I think once she gets unto her perch behind me, she doesn't feel like getting food for herself...that's where I come in!!!! :lol:

I just gave her another snack and she's eating...then nibbling...then eating...etc. I'll test again for a +3.5...just in case she keeps dipping, but I have a feeling I'll start seeing the rise of the BG's! ( :lol: I just pictured the Bee Gee's rising to world dominance!) I'll be back soon.

I have a stool beside the bed so Shadow can walk up instead of jump. That way she can make it up on the bed ..
of course, Ihaven't slept there is so long. :YMSIGH:

Wow what a night for Shasta! Nice green!! Yay on the fuds! Tarragon will only eat Fancy Feast chicken classic mucked with Fancy Feast flaked chicken and tuna. Mix that with some water and physillium and he is good to go. :lol: Have a great night Deborah!

Rhiannon, every once in a while I just have moments with these acronyms! When I was thinking about what college to go to and what degree to major in, my sister had to help me realize that maybe I didn't want to get a Bachelor of Music degree because then I would be announcing to the world all about my BM... of course, she had to explain to the little, naive high schooler that BM was short for bowel movement. :roll: So then I decided on a BME, which we promptly decided was short for Bowel Movement Extraordinaire!!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Anyways, tonight when I wrote about the rise of the BGs, I just couldn't help myself. Oh come on...you guys can't say that when you type BG you don't start singing "Stayin' Alive" or something like that?!?!?! Or is it just me?! Well, thanks to this post, I bet you all start doing it now!
I have footstools to help her get up into bed and another one for my couch. Sometimes she doesn't use the one for the couch. No big deal, but she is to the point where she needs the one to my bed. However, as soon as I think that, I find that she has jumped up onto my kitchen table...so I never know what to believe! :lol:
(p.s. thanks for the Merrick suggestions. She didn't know what to think at first with the Turducken. :smile: )

Hi Melissa, Yes, it has been a night for Miss Prissy Pants! Between her soreness and lack of LB prezzies, I feel like I keep stuffing her with food in attempts to keep her from dropping too low...and then I get 50's! UGH! :roll: I'm so happy that she's liking some of this new food!!! Lord knows...she gets a smorgasbord every day! You'd think we could agree on a few types and flavors!!!! She does like the FF Classic Chicken, too!

I too have song associations with different activities.
When I went to school overseas in London, every time I got on the tram I had to pass thru Baker Street which just seeing the name made
the song play in my head. Drove me crazy.
So now, if I hear the song on the radio, I get an image of riding the tram.
I like the association now.

Another great evening cycle. I'm glad Miss snotty cat poopy pants likes her new fuds! Poor baby that she had a bad day yesterday. I'm glad she jumped up tonight for some luv!!
