Good Morning. I caught J.D. eating at +10.75, so I had to wait another hour to give him his Denamarin at +11.75, which means he had to wait until 45 minutes after his shot to get 1st Breffis. Well he didn't mind, since he just ate at 4:45am, but Ginger did mind. She often wants to eat at +11, one hour before it's time, and having to wait an extra 45 minutes for her breffis was awful for her. She was bouncing off the walls and screaming and running around, and just acting so starving. I told her that 45 minutes wasn't that long in cat years :roll:

Now, the cats have been fed (CPC for both!), and the kitties are sound asleep. I am maybe, possibly, hoping to go back to bed, myself.

Does anyone know if the 1 hour fast for Denamarin is 1 hour before the pill or 1 hour after the pill or both? I've been doing both.

Awwww poor Ginger, but I am giggling at the thought of her rampant indignation at having to wait - don't tell her! :lol: :lol:

No idea on the meds but I hope you get a lovely btb.

Good news on the CPC for both kitties. Poor Ginger. My cats always act so crazy if they have to wait to eat for any reason. You'd think we never feed them.

I guess that's why J.D. was eating at 4:45am this morning. He felt himself coming down. He doesn't usually do that.

And that was probably why he wouldn't let me go back to sleep. He kept love biting me and purring, and we did sweet kitty facey smooshies skitchies and rubbies for the 30 minutes while I was laying down. I was surprised to get that 66, when I finally gave up.

He just ate some (1/8 can) of his favorite 7% FF Trout Feast.

Now, Ginger is telling me it's time to get dressed and take her outside :-| .

I had to laugh out loud reading about Ginger and J.D.'s antics!

I must also admit, I think J.D. is the most handsome cat I have seen in a long, long time. Every time I see his pictures I think, "Oh my! How handsome!"

Thanks Teresa. He's hard to take a picture of though. The deadline for the calendar is today, and I have taken over 200 pictures of him lately, and have my selections down to these http://photobucket.com/2013FDMBCalendar

Oh my gosh! Those are wonderful pics! I really, really like the "Seven Close Up" but also the one where he's sitting and facing you (second to last). Oh! Oh! Wait! Oh! So many to choose from!

I was just about to do Ginger's bidding and take the kitties outside.

J.D. was just snoozing away, and then suddenly woke up with a start. I tested him. 32 Wow!
He just sucked up (like a vacuum) a teaspoon of 18% yummy food.



Maggie's favourite is Number Six - she says he looks like a wild, tough tom in that one!

Oh, that must be why hoomans sometimes step back when he walks towards them. I guess I would too, if I didn't know him.

The +4 was actually at 9:55am, and the +4.25 was at 10:15am, so 20 minutes apart.

Holy Tamole JD!!! You's a greeeeeeeennnnn boy today! Glad to see that he's come up a tad....I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that the bounce does not happen...or if it does, it happens easily.

I checked out your pictures...how hard is it to choose a good one when JD is just the cutest!! I did like #13, but I liked #7 close up too...jeeez...how hard!!

Oh, and I called Canadaonlinedrugs for the insulin. I was going to cancel the order from Turkey and get it directly from Canada, but I was informed that they no longer carry the flex pens in Canada, only the vials so I had to keep the Turkey order. I just wanted to give you a heads up because you said you were going to need some soon and it takes a bit longer to get it from Turkey.

I just ordered some on Wednesday. I have enough to last me until at least January (I waste a lot of insulin), but needed to order now, before it's too cold to ship them. I'll let you know when they arrive.

I got distracted on the board :?

I found J.D. laying on the kitchen rug at +5, so went and dug out the well buried shrimp from the freezer. I took out 5 large shrimp, and since the ends of the tails are the first to thaw out, J.D. got 5 tail ends ..and I haven't seen him jump up so high and catch those pieces of shrimp, nor follow me around the house so fast, in a long time :-D ..

He just got another 2 teaspoons of HC and a whole shrimp. He is one happy camper: Favorite FF Trout Feast, HC FF Grilled Feast, and Shrimpies! Actually, I was giving him a tiny bite of the HC on a regular teaspoon as a testing treat after each test. Of course he kept trying to bite the metal spoon.

I really need to get these cats outside soon, though. The day is beautiful gorgeous, and we are all stuck inside.

Beautiful numbers:-)
On the pic... the guidelines Deanie posted said something about cropping, and to make sure the portion of the photo that you want to appear on the calendar fit into a square space. And that horizontal photos work better than vertical ones, especially if you don't want kitty's ears cropped:-) I'm a fan of #13 too. Maybe experiment on photobucket with square cropping before sending in the pic?

When I need shrimp quickly, I float them in a cup of warm water, it doesn't change anything about them.

Wow on the drama, JD! Dyana, I love the pics! I like the 7, 9, and 11 close ups, too, but the lighting in 13 is gorgeous!

J.D. got a shrimp and some more Trout Feast at +6.25, and I opened the sliding glass door to let the cats out. And I thought they were both out there, but I just got up to check and J.D. is waiting for more shrimp on the kitchen rug.

I have to get them (him) outside. Cat's need sunshine, don't ya know. bbl.

Dian, you're right.

I'm off to the store, since I haven't left the house all day.

1st Dinner was served, and mostly finished. It wasn't as tasty as what was served all afternoon.

No, I shot through the bounce, and was planning to reduce to 0.75. I don't need him going to 30s when I'm at work.

Since he seems to be lower for one cycle and higher (bouncing) for the next, I wish for him to switch so that he is higher during the day when I'm at work, and lower at night when I'm here to attend to his every need.

That's quite a bounce there handsome. Now come on down, nice & easy, into better #s, and no surprises for Mommie while she's working, OK?
