Last Night:
117 PMPS
103 +3
97 +4
221 +8.25

I had turned all my alarms off on Thursday night, and forgot to turn them back on again, last night. So, since I was a bad mom, I gave J.D. two squares of green on his ss  He also got two shrimp. One at +3 and one at +4, then I fell asleep and didn't wake up again until 2:15am (+8.25).

J.D. woke up happy esconded around my neck this morning, and tested at 304. He had his 1st Breffis at AMPS. We went for a nice decent sized walk. He had his 2nd Breffis at +1.5. Went for a shorter walk, and then had his 3rd Breffis at +3.5 served on the cement porch steps out front (they love eating out there). CPC all along.

I have not given J.D. any meds. yet, today. I usually give him 1/4 Ondansetron and 1/4 Pepcid in the morning, but he doesn't seem nauseated or acidy tummy, as he is eating all his food. Should I give them, anyway?

Also, I have been giving him a shot of 1/4ml (25 units) of B12 (Cyanocobalamin) every other week. It is supposed to help with GI issues. It's probably okay to give them to him every week, right? I think I'd like to start doing that.

I just brought the cats in from outside as it is getting pretty warm, and at the moment J.D. is laying in his basement hangout.

Wow, J.D., that is quite the impressive slide today. Were you just a tad surprised by that PMPS, Dyana?

Actually, for some reason, "No". I kind of expected him to be a lot lower than that AMPS and +1.5, yesterday morning  .
And, I guess I'm just used to J.D. going up and down.

I thought about giving him some R at the 403 at +3 (since I'll be home today), but it was too late, as the R's nadir might coinside with the Levemir's, so I'll wait until later today, and decide.

Hope everyone is having a good Caturday.

Oh, and, I forgot to say. J.D. had two! nice poops yesterday :thumbup

Re: 07/28 J.D. AMPS 304, +3 403

I'm glad to hear J.D. is feeling better. Now, if J.D. just didn't want to hang on to the gold medal for bounces, all would be just fine. Maybe he should get shrimp for not bouncing!

do not know about the other meds but yes on the B12. can give weekly. Twinkie gets .5 weekly as does cal. cannot hurt them as it is water soluable and what is not used is excreted

Hi Dyana, so you slept through the storm. It had a few loud bangs, and some needed rain, probably not enough to make a difference.

Well, that is so much better there J.D. and I hear you got some shrimp too! What a nice mombean you have!

Thanks for visiting us today Dyana. Hope we can get together again soon. I go into hibernation by Sept./Oct.

That's an impressive dive JD. How's he feeling without the meds? I hope he's enjoying his shrimp treats.

Have a great evening!

Thanks.
I'll start giving the B12, once a week. I have this alarm on my cell phone that goes off at 9:00am every Saturday, that still goes off back from when I was giving him Equine Adequan every week (now, it's every 3 weeks). I think I read somewhere that drinking and peeing a lot can deplete the B Vitamins, so hopefully once a week will help more.

I buy the big bag of frozen cooked large shrimp (there's often a $5.00 coupon at my grocery store). They're easy to take a few (5 or 6) out to defrost, and they cost me about $15.00 or so and last J.D. about 4 to 6 months, depending on how many he earns.

I went out shopping and the thunder storms came back..

J.D. just got his lactulose, but no poos, so far, today.
