I think Shasta is trying to mess up my Opening Ceremony viewing excitement! She's not wanting to eat her dinner and so now I'm having to find ways to entire her to eat so that her numbers don't dip too low! Come on Shasta...once in 4 years...give me a tiny break!!! haha

What is Shasta's favorite event? We are big addicts too. :-D Any bets as to who lights the flame? Shasta, eat yer fuds. You can't compete with getting fueled up.

Shasta has petitioned for many years to have Rat Chasing added as an Olympic event, but they have not responded to her! bcatrun_gif
At first, she was into Shooting, until she found out they didn't use real pigeons! And she's definitely not a fan of the water sports (swimming, diving, water polo)...deep seeded hatred of water! :-x

I get caught up in everything! Of course, I love gymnastics (men & women), swimming and diving. I LOVE the equestrian, but they rarely ever show it on tv (and I'm too lazy/busy to watch it online), so I usually don't get to see it. But I find myself getting caught up in running, track & field, volleyball, basketball...if it's on the tv, I'll be cheering and getting a little teary eyed! What an accomplishment for all of these men and women! What are your favorites?!

Oh my goodness, I have NO guesses as to who will light the flame. The ceremonies have been amazing, so far! I expect someone spectacular and meaningful and iconic!

I finally threw out her dinner and gave her Fancy Feast Chicken (5%) which she just scarfed down. About to check her BG +2.5.

Yikes! What a drop at +1! If you get a big drop like that at +1 or +2, that usually means she will drop pretty quickly. We started giving Zener some higher carbs when he does that, to try to keep his cycles a little flatter. Definitely time to get on that surfboard, Shasta!

Rat chasing, um, that would be an interesting sport. :lol: :lol:

Yeah, when I saw her drop from PMPS to +1 AND when she decided NOT to eat her yummy dinner...I knew we were going to do this. :YMSIGH:

She's doing a little bit of surfing right now. At last poke, she was at 46 and then she went and ate some more. I think what I'm going to need to do is feed her an earlier snack in the AM so that she's really ready and hungry for her PM injection dinner. I never worry about her appetite in the morning. That or maybe she just really hates the Beef. :?

Let it go on record that Shasta would not be in "medal contention" for rat chasing as she is slightly overweight and has NO experience chasing rats. She is an expert rat tracker thanks to the many times she tracked them in my rental's walls! :lol: :lol: :lol:

I'd lather, rinse, repeat on feeding and testing every 30 minutes and hope you can get her to eat.

haha...She finally started really eating at +2 and everything seemed fine...until just before her +4 test...when I saw all of her dinner come back up! ugh! Her +4 reading was 74 and now she's in the kitchen, staring at me (code for "feed me") as I watch the final moments of the Olympic ceremony! She's been playful the whole time (maybe to the detriment of her tummy!)

What a cycle!! She came up nicely at +4.5..Great job & good catch...Moonie ate FF chicken for yrs, then she gets tired of it, so I recently gave her chopped grill & ff liver & chicken..sometimes she eats it, sometimes not--She is going to drive me crazy--I'll be up still ohmygod_smile till who knows when...

I've never known her to be quite this picky, but goodness!!! She does like the FF chicken, mixed grill and turkey & giblets, and Last week, I thought she like the beef, but I was mistaken. Maybe next week!!!! Thanks everyone for the support! We need it as we are still babies to this process. Good night and sleep tight! Here's to pretty numbers for all the kitties over the weekend! :razz:
