Yesterday was I so wanna be blue day, but I just can't... SO he ended up yellow, and pink. :? :? The good news is: we are DONE, FINISHED, OVER WITH the Panacur for his Giardia, and those butt washing... Mannie is so happy that I didn't come at him with a wash cloth this morning. Or a tall skinny bottle with white nasty looking liquid in it. :o    Now that we are done with the eds, I am anxious to see what this will do to his cycles. it could just be Mannie being Mannie, but with the meds, we'd get this noticeable spike after the meds were given. I wonder if the whole thing was just stressing him out, and up wen the BG's. Well, guess we shall see. Right Mannie? Spend more time in the land of the blues and greens? Hope so! Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no more meds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One big long happy dance from the Nanner King. dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat Mannie had a good day yesterday - we had a heavy marine layer in the morning, which found him zonked on the nanners. He had them all along his belly, with his paws covering them. perhaps he was trying to keep his shaved belly warm.    By noon the sun was out, the day had warmed, and he was ready to tackle his domain.  So he did. The routine is so predictable: yard patrol, perimeter security and then the surveillance from the ground cover. The sun was shining there at that time - it was fun to see him with his face lifted up, soaking in the rays, eyes all squinty. Guess he must have forgotten his sunglasses.  This morning we had a great test, shoot and clean plate club (YAY), AND the auto feeder was ignored by Mannie, again  , and Elsa still thinks it has her name on it, yet again.... so I am back to running interception on the feeder.... Despite all that I will still say: Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Have a great day everyone. I am off to Seattle later today to have ~O) ~O) ~O) with Friends. WOO HOO! In the meantime I will play catch up with all the things I didn't do yesterday when I headed on out on rural trail walk. :?

Hey everybody!! it's dunes day! YUPP!! hey Tess - I hope it is a little foggy at the dunes.... I gots these really cool fog lamp thingies and I so wanna try them out. They say they will work anywhere - so well maybe.... in the dunes on our buggys with all that sand. I tried at home, but my bean said that the neighbors thought I was like an alien invasion or sumthin'. HUH?????   stupid neighbors.... so... we is good for the dunes? You guys in? ~~ Mannie

And completely OT: Here are some photos from my hike adventure yesterday - Centennial Trail, a nice low key rural/urban walk. I've also included the FaceBook links for anyone who wants to see all the photos: Centennial Trail

Nice sunny start for Mannie as well! I thought of Mannie immediately when I saw the nanners and cubes everywhere. It looks like Tarragon had a late night visitor. Hmmmmm.

Have a great time in the city!!

Hey Mannie! Dunes sound awesome. I think my bean is on to us. I fell asleep and forgot to clean all the nanners up. She didn't care but wondered where all the tuna went. Pick me up k? - Tarragon

Re: 7/17 Mannie AMPS 259, +2 227

Morning Michelle and yum with the White Peppermint Mocha. Yay for last day of the meds. It will be interesting to watch his bg's now. We have that same heavy marine layer in the mornings and then finally sun late morning. It does make it nice and cool to take a walk. Mannie we'll have to get you sunglasses for when you're sunning yourself. Beautiful pics of your walk and even mountain views. I just looked at some July 12 pics I think it was of DGS, what fun. Thanks on these today, too with coffee. Have a great time in Seattle with your friends, always an enjoyable thing keeping in touch.

Have a wonderful day in Seattle, if Mannie lets you go. *grin*

I've always wondered Michelle. Do you actually walk to all these places, or do you have to drive to a certain spot, then get out to hike? I ask, because I see the same trees and cows, and every cornfields every day. :-D

Mannie just answered the question of whether those meds and bum wash were affecting him. So glad those are over for him. It's nice to see him in good safe greens again. Enjoy Seattle!

Re: 7/17 Mannie AMPS 259, +5.7 79, +6.2 99, +7 107, +8 111

Wow, Michelle, I was just checking up on Mannie and I also think the end of the meds proves how well Mannie is faring. Did you ever make it to lunch/coffee with your friend? Way to go Mannie! Those last two are so close to green!

Re: 7/17 Mannie AMPS 259, +5.7 79, +7 107, +8 111, +11 153

Hi Ann - Yupp, I agree. It will be interesting to see how the next few days go. Looking good so far. :-D and yes - I did make Seattle. We don't get together til the afternoon anywyas, and by then nadir for Mannie has come and gone, and I can usually control this with food, if need be, by this time. They last two were very close to green: I just fed him, knowing it will, at this point in the cycle, hold him until I was back. So off we went!

Hi guys,

What a great day for Mannie! No more medicine!! No more butt washes!!! Life is GOOD!! Life is GREEN and BLUE!! (well, mostly).

Hope you had a good time in Seattle today, Michelle. I went to Plattsburgh. Not quite the same, but OK.

Have a great evening. Love that pic of the mountains. Wow, you have MOUNTAINS there!!!

Ella & Rusty

Mannie, the dunes were great! I had to borrow my mamabean's headlamp (the one she uses when I get my tests and shots). Hey, headlamps are neat! We've gotta bake a cimmamum birthday cake for Ella tonight. OK? Meet you at the lagoon later,
your pal,
Rusty

Re: 7/17 Mannie PMPS 161, +2 213

Yeah! No more med for Mannie! We really hate those pills, sometimes ab spoil their appy. Did the vet recommend doing a test at later time to confirm Mannie rids of those nasty little bugs?

Ive a friend living in Seattle too. She's working as a pet groomer there. Ive got to ask yo Michelle, as she'll be visiting Hk in Sept. I'd like to ask her buy some med for me & bring over. I'll PM you. Tks!
