7/15 Jinx PMPS 490, +4.5 248

Jinx just licked the Natural Balance duck and pea this morning and doesn't want anything to do with the usual fail safe of boiled chicken breast. But he has eaten the Instinct duck formula so I'm very happy about that. Also, no pukus for over 12 hours now and a solid poo this morning.

Last night, I started what I'm hoping will be a maintenance dose of 62mg metronidazole SID. Still sticking with 1mg Ondansetron BID unless he stops eating and then I'll bump it up to 2mg. Fingers crossed for a good curve and a pukus free day. Hope you all have a very nice Sunday. :smile:

Hi Joe

I'm glad you've made some headway in the eating/puking/liquipoo areas. If you can call Natural Balance tomorrow and get the as feds, I'll run them through the calculator for you Just ask them for the as feds for fat, protein, water, moisture, fiber. From that, we can get carbs...they usually don't have as feds for carbs but if they do, you can get it, too.

I think you do need to give him an increase tomorrow, though.

Hi Marje, he wouldn't eat the Natural Balance today so he's on the NV canned duck for now. If I go back to the Natural Balance for some reason and he eats it, I'll call them to get the as fed values. I really appreciate the offer to help me figure out carb content. Just to confirm what I got recently from squeem3 (don't know the member's name), I'm going to call NV tomorrow to get the as fed values for the duck (and other proteins just so we have them) and will let you know what I find out.

I was surprised to see 248 at +4.5 but I will increase him to 2.0u in the morning unless you think I should wait to see how he does tomorrow.
