Yesterday was.... interesting! A blue day with a pink and yellow hic-cup. :shock: :? :? I was elated t see that blue amps - been a while, and was ever so nice. It seems Mannie surfed there while DGS and I were out.... until he bounced. Surprising that he came down just as fast as he went up. Never a dull moment with Mannie: just when I think I figure the pattern out he changes it. so....... once again we follow his lead. Lubs ya big guy! Think blue think green OK? cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. DGS's arrival and departure schedule are different than normal, as his mom ad dad are on vacation. Nicholas was here much later than normal, which made both of them happy: more time so share toys and nanners, Until THE VOICE made an appearance. Mannie so struggles with that. :lol: :lol: He retreated to the other side of the kid gate, where the voice couldn't reach him. Well..... until DGS got out the fishie crackers and then all was forgiven. :lol: :lol: As kids do, DGS dropped more than he ate, Mannie was hot on his heels hunting down fallen fishies, I was hot on Mannie's heels, running interception for fallen fishies.... :lol: :lol: :lol: What a three ring circus! :shock: This morning we had a great test, shoot and clean plate club, AND the auto feeder still continues to be used by Mannie, and Elsa still thinks it has her name on it, yet again.... so once again, as yesterday, I can safely say: Some things just never change. Normalcy in MannieLand.

Have a great day everyone. I am back on DGS duty today. His mom and dad are still on vacation. It looks like we will all go hiking together - WOO HOO! So.... I will try and visit condos when I can, but more than likely not until the evening. I will miss you guys, and your furkids. Think blue, think green kitties!

Hi Michelle, that is a big hike there at the +2! Is Mannie eating some fishies crackers right now? :lol: I have really missed your fun condo being offline lately with puter hiccups! So cute with the fish crackers. I know Mags would like them, too, but her fav is potato chips! Great pics and especially the one with the giant rock and Nicholas. Have a great time hiking today with DGS, and it looks like Mannie is gearing up to give the permit for one day. :lol:

Hi Denise - Yep on that big jump. i know that part of it is the food kicking in. It is common for Mannie to spike in the mornings after he eats, before the insulin really starts working for him at around +2. I suspect here too that he is beginning to bounce from being lo blue, possible green, over night. He will do that too. Almost any visit to the greens will cause him to go up the next day/cycle. Eventually they level out: well that's the plan... paws crossed!

Morning Melissa - That it was - and then bam came that +1. sheshhhhh..... and yes - one probably should not even try to figure out FD. Mannie just doesn't follow the rules either. :shock: :? :? oh yes on those fishies - that was a hoot. and once again I was camera-less. :shock: thanks on today - it should really be fun! guess i can go - sure looks like someone s signing my permission slip....

Nice AMPS, Mannie, and hopefully after that +1 you'll have a nice blue day, maybe with a little green? Great shots of the Beckler River. It looks like a wonderful spot, and Nicholas is having so much fun there.

Too bad that THE VOICE is distressing to Mannie. Maybe you can explain that to Nicholas. Is his ordinary voice less shrill? I hope he outgrows this. You'll all have to get ear plugs!!

Have a lovely hike today with the whole family. Please tell Mannie that I could use some help in the kitchen tomorrow. He's very welcome to come and cook for us!!!!

Morning Ella - Looks like he has taken your hopes to heart: we are back to the blues and a good pint to start a nice blue surf. paws crossed! This portion of the Beckler River is so nice. Truly truly wonderful, nature at its best, and so worth the time that it took to get there. -- Nicholas has a very gentle soft pleasing voice - except when he is excited: the decibels rise substantially :shock: and that part "bothers" Mannie. He takes it ins stride, but will move to a quiet spot. once the loudness stops they are back to best buds. I think he will outgrow it - DGS that is - once he learns he doesn't need to be so loud when something excites hum. all part of being almost 2 I think.... I told Mannie he can come and help you cook - he is very excited, ran off to pack his bags, before heading on out to collect all the kitties for the dunes...

hi Reagan - oh me too! after 8 cycles of pink, this is so welcome!!! I think we have the surf set, one more test to make sure I fed what he needs, and the off I go: hike with the fmaily, and THE VOICE. :lol: :lol: and this i so true on the nanners. that made me laugh. Right now he's sprawled across the lot of them.

Uh Michelle, don't hold your breath, waiting for THE VOICE to change any time soon. DGD Kelsey is 4, and can still hit high "C", otherwise known, as "fingernails on the blackboard", when she's excited, tired, angry, happy..etc. :lol:

Mannie is so consistent with the 'after breffis' food spike. He has come down beautifully, though..as usual.

Hi Ann - Yeah - Sometime I think he hears "permission slip" and up he goes or he just flatlines. What a cat! And thanks on the hike. We did a local 5 miler, a warm up hike for DD and DSIL as they haven't done much yet this year. We went to Coal Creek where I take Nicholas all the time, we just went quite a bit further, his dad back packed him. Nice hike, and DGS did well in his back pack. Fun stuff.
