HIGH #s - 6/25 Sushi AMPS~532|+1.5~418|+6.5~315

Sushi's #s are SO high today!!
I gave him the .25u decrease we discussed yesterday; who knew it would send him over 500!

I just can't stand seeing #s 500+, especially when I'm working so hard to do everything "right."
What do 500+ #s mean? He should be dead?
What are the effects of 500+ #s?

Are you getting regular ketone tests? With high numbers that is one of the things to make sure you are doing. The numbers could just be the liver reacting to lower numbers than Sushi has seen for a while or a reaction to the dose reduction. Numbers in the black are discouraging, but it looks like Sushi is getting rid of them fast. If Sushi was staying in black that would be more worrisome. If you look at Neko's numbers you'll see lots of black, unfortunately, but her liver is slowly getting used to the lower numbers. She is one bouncy kitty.

I stopped testing Sushi for ketones a while ago, as he never showed any trace. I did a test this week and it was negative. Thanks for reminding me to stay on top of that!
