Yesterday I wrote about the three day bounce thing with Mannie. :? Just when I think I have him figured out, he reads his condos, and decides to shake things up a bit, and bye bye three days... so after one day we are back in the blues. Woo Hoo, and no complaints from this bean. So..... WOOT! on yesterday! We were BLUE most of the day, and Mannie was proud to report that the Blue Mannie Group was able to perform LIVE on Rusty's porches.  He surfed the low to mid blues for most of the day, which was so welcome after a day of bouncy yellows and pinks. WOO HOO!, and well done Mannie. I so hope he can remain a blue kitty for a while. paws crossed! Lubs ya big guy. cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D And rather normal... Elsa made sure I got up - PHEW! We had a mini whack-a-thon last night. Well more like one paw raised as they thought about whether to let loose. Neither of them did.   Guess they decide they'd rather eat. SO they did, followed by napping on the deck in a few remaining sunbeams. Things are rather qquiet this morning. what is up with that? Guess they know that DGS is home with his mom and dad today, so they can just chill out.  Today, as always, we had a great test feed shoot this morning: lots of purrs and head rubs from Mannie. Breffis was consumed with gusto - still and always at warp speed, clean plate club status maintained, the auto feeder continues to be used: though he missed one this morning, Elsa still tries to raid his auto feeder, I still intercept.... Normalcy in MannieLand.

Have a great day everyone. I hope to go today. We shall see if the Manster gives me permission. :-D

Hey everybody!! We need a pool day - or maybe a swim in the river day - or maybe a paddle on a lake day... what'd'ya guys think? You wanna? We can pack a picnic and grill and stuff. You guys in? let me know - I am ready for anything! ~~ Mannie

And completely OT.... some photo from Nicholas's and my adventure yesterday to the Snoqualmie River. What a great time we had! Here is the Facebook link for all the photos and the videos: Nicholas at the Snoqualmie River

And for fun: a video from yesterday too. Nicholas decided he really wanted that stick... so off he went, with caution.

Re: 5/26 Mannie AMPS 277

Re: 5/26 Mannie AMPS 277, +2 298

Hi Michelle, that was a really nice blue day yesterday, and Mannie listened to us and surfed the blues. The Blue Mannie Group performing live on Rusty's porch was so entertaining. Great on Mannie says it is a go today for the hike. Are you going to one of the local hiking spots or further, weather allowing. Have a great time and don't forget the camera. Great pics of Nicholas. He looks so tall on the last pic. I will watch the video with some coffee. I did a btd earlier, and boy did it eve mess me up as I can't seem to wake up!

Mannie, how about one of those nice river adventures where you take DGS. A picnic and some grillin sounds great. I will bring some salmon burgers to grill. See ya soon at curb, Mags

Re: 5/26 Mannie AMPS 277, +2 298

I loved it when Nicholas tried to eat the stick: he's been taking lessons from the beavers?!

Good morning. Have a great hike. The kitties will have fun whatever they decide to do. Gotta go now.

Ella & Rusty

Re: 5/26 Mannie AMPS 277, +2 298

I hope mannie gets rewarded for that nice permission slip with some yummy fuds when you get home. Enjoy the hike today. You deserve a day out.

Mannie, I'm up for a pool as long as it is somewhere warm. I don't know about that river, it looked COLD!!! You wouldn't believe the stash of catmint crisps I have from the bakery. Lemon drops too! I'm bringing the Furarri! Top down day! -- Tess

Re: 5/26 Mannie AMPS 277, +2 298

Well done, Mannie! Way to throw your bean a curve ball with the 1 day bounce clearing.  We don't want them to figure out a pattern, huh! Of course, your bean is totally on top of everything and she caught it right away. You're a lucky guy. ~Z

Re: 5/26 Mannie AMPS 277, +2 298

Hey, Willie is here! What about fountain crashing! And sausage sampling, it has bee so loooooong!! -- Tess

Re: 5/26 Mannie AMPS 277, +2 298

Looks like a Mannie permission day to go hiking!! He's saving more blue for later :-D A mini whackathon is better than none

I LOVE Nicholas's spirit of adventure...I bet that water was cold but that stick sure looked tasty  I also love that you let him experience things....so important for a child and so many moms are too overprotective...that's why kids need great grandmamas like you....he is one LUCKY little boy to have so much fun and adventure with his grandmother.

Re: 5/26 Mannie AMPS 277, +2 298

Nice blues again yesterday. You need to leave your condo up more often so Mannie can see it. Sounds like all is great at your place. Have a wonderful weekend Michelle!

Hey Mannie! I'm up for anything. Just let me know the plan. Our pool is open and it is hot hot hot here. - Tarragon

Re: 5/26 Mannie PMPS 305

305 @ PMPS. ohmygod_smile Well.... guess I didn't need to worry about the Manster while I was gone. Come on down Mannie - the green lagoon needs you, AND! I am sure that the fountains at Willie's could use a tune or two from the Blue Mannie Group. :-D :-D

Thanks to all for visiting Mannie while I was gone hiking today. I had a great time, and am ever so glad that I left early. The morning hiking stuff was awesome - gorgeous falls, the lake as beautiful. By the time I was headed out about 2PM, and at the last .5 miles, the HOARDS OF PEOPLE were coming in.   That was not fun. Amazing how busy this place got. The parking lot, which holds 200 cars, was full, and the rest were lined up for 2 miles outside of the park, both sides.   Wow.... so so glad I went early. I will post a few photos in Mannie's condo tomorrow. For now here is the FaceBook link: Wallace Falls, Wallace Lake

HI Ann, and Maggie - Yesterday was great! Not too surprised be bounced today. yep on the Blue Mannie Group performing live on Rusty's porch: Mannie said it was so fun. what a group the are! The hike I went to today was a bit further - and was about 14 miles total. Not one I could take DGS on, just way too involved. the weather was great too! We made 75 here, not too sure how warm it was up there. LOL on your BTB - I can do them, for the reason you said: they mess me up big time...

Hi Ella - LOL on the stick eating. I know - we still get some of that - he tries everything...w ell almost. He's learning that sticks and rocks don't always taste great.  HAHA on the beavers!! And thanks - hike was great - i had a good time: did 14 miles. PHEW!

Hi Ann - :-D :-D Yes, he was rewarded - nice big bowl on wellness chicken.  Well, I will give him a treat in a few, with my dinner, after I finish here. is fav thing is cubed cooked fresh chicken, so will will oblige and thank him for my permission slip today. ANd thanks (!!) - I did have a great time. tired... but ever so much fun! :-D :-D :-D

Hi Marje - yupp, permission slip was granted, and off we went. Hopefully those blues and greens will return tonight, tomorrow. And thanks on the DGS stuff. Yes on the water! it is a snow pack fed mtn river, so it was very very cold. What was interesting about it was that DGS knew it was, knew he had to be careful, and told me when his feet were too cold. I lost count on the number of times I changed socks, etc to keep him warm and safe. and thanks on the rest - it is how I feel - let them experience all this when they are this age. These are experiences he will never forget. Even at 17 months he knows these places, plays tour guide when we go. You should see the smiles - they are endless!

Hi Melissa - yesterday was awesome. No greens, but he was close. I'll take these low flat blue surfs. LOL on leaving the condo up - I think I shall! And thanks on the weekend - so far, a very good one!

Mr T!! DUDE! ok.... first a river adventure and a picnic, Maggie got salmon burgers! Then we is off to a pool - phew and glad yours is open, cuz Tess wants a pool. and then off to Willie's - for fountain crashing and the sausage place.l I LUBS that place... OH!! And Tess has lots of cookies for munching on our drives - AND WE GETS THE FURRARI! we can drive with the top down.   SWEET! See you soon! ~~ Mannie

Z - DUDE!! heeheehee on the curve ball - I gots to keep her guessin', ya know? and well yeah....s he did catch it.... well, hmmmmmm.... gotta work n a new strategy then, See you at Willie's? ~~ M

Tess!!! That is an affirmative on Willie's!! Maggie want to do a river adventure, so we can do that first (pssstttt - the one I know of is warm - I SWEAR!) , she's got salmon burgers (!!!) and then crash Willie's. I so LUBS those sausages.... hey - AWESOME on the cookies!! And the Furrari - we can munch on them while we drive - with the top down!! ~~Mannie

Maggie!! Awesome -we will do that. I Lubs the river stuff too. Thanks on the salmon burgers - YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM! And then I hear Willie is in town, so off to play in the fountains, and raid that sausage place, see you at the curb! ~~ Mannie

Re: 5/26 Mannie PMPS 305

I love how you give DGS just enough space to explore on his own. I can just see his little mind trying to solve the puzzle on how to get the stick himself. Love that you just don't come in to rescue him. And I bet your daughter loves that fact that she gets to watch his adventures each day. You are just awesome Michelle.

Re: 5/26 Mannie PMPS 305, +2 231

231 @ +2 - and down we go! not too fast there Mannie.... :-D

Hi Tena - thanks for the visit! wow - you are to kind, but I really thank you. Yep - that is the goal: just enough space to explore on his own, and yet be able come to the rescue if he thinks he needs it. I too love to watch him figure out the solutions - it is so cool to watch. and yes, my DD does, music to my ears. :-D :-D

Re: 5/26 Mannie PMPS 305, +2 231

Wow, great hike! I always like to get out early too. Ok, Mannie, your bean is home, so you can slide on down. Have a nice evening.

Z!! I am coming - wait for me!! ~~ M
