5/25 Daphne AMPS 109, +4 73, +9 76, PMPS 88

Well, much better numbers today. Maybe that 164 yesterday was from a fur shot.

I am convinced now that when I give her a +9 or even +10 snack it brings her BGs down (anti-jinx). I was up late again last night and it was around 3:00 am, and she looked a little hungry, (her AMPS is 5:30) so I have her a tbsp. of EVO, and this AMPS was so much better and also, I do it during the day, at least a +9, sometimes even a +10 if its just a tsp. it will bring her down. I don't think this would be working out so well if her pancreas was not functioning. (I'm not advising anyone to do that unless you know your kitty has a working pancreas). And this also, just a guess, since I'm not a vet, and I'm still so inexperienced at all this and ECID.

Sending healing vines to all the kitties and beans who may need them today, extra vines to Rocket and Moonie.

AMPS was pretty perfect (and the rest of the day too :mrgreen: )that little snack seems to work very well for Miss Daphne!

Very nice day for Daphne!!! Yes, the +8/+9 snack does work well for lots of kitties. It sort of worked for Trix, but it was unpredictable for her. More than that, I couldn't get her acclimated to the auto-feeder, and between work and sleep, I couldn't consistently give her a snack at that time. I'm glad to see Daphne is taking to it, though!!

Lovely numbers Daphne! So you got mummy to give you that extra snack? :lol:
Do what you think works best for Daphne, Barb! Maybe that little snack at the end of the cycle acted as a starter for Daphne's pancreas.

We have noticed that with Zener, when we are stalling, give him a little freeze dried chicken and his BG drops. Great cycles today. I hope you are both feeling better.

Thanks everybody for visiting today. I don't have my auto feeders working yet, because I am starting slow with just the inside dish, and the bottom part and slowly introduce the top, and the noise it makes. Daphne is so skittish, so for now, I try and do what I can with the +9, or +10, at night. Lucky for her, I do stay up pretty late. Thank goodness DH does the AMPS! I do give him a break on the weekend, and I do one of the days at 5:30 AM :shock: its like the middle of the night for me!

Daphne, you are lookin' really good today. We do the +9 snack, too. sometimes it works, sometimes not, but Rusty likes it. (basically he free feeds).

i've heard a lot of people say that snack around +9 works to bring down the next preshot number. if it's working for daphne - awesome!

her numbers are looking fantastic! i'll bet she's feeling great.
