Good Morning World!

My boy has been starving to death these last few mornings and in my sleepy haze i've been giving him handfuls of FDchicken out of the bag on my nightstand. He's been loving it! This morning i gave him a handful at 5:30am, only 30 minutes before his breffis and shot, i really need to quit that. Other than that blip we had a good test, shoot and feed, and CPC status was achieved, Leo has now taken up some window duty, making sure the neighbourhood is safe.

BTB for us a few hours and condo visiting then. Have a great day everyone :-D

Re: 5/22 Leo AMPS 288

Hi guys .. not sure why, but the idea of you sleepily giving leo treats so he doesn't starve cracked me up .. what a silly boy! Hope you guys have a great day!

Re: 5/22 Leo AMPS 288

Question for everyone. When do you feed your last meal/snack during the PM cycle? Usually I feed Leo his midnight lunch at +5.5 and he doesn't eat again until breffis. I'm thinking he probably needs another snack in between then.

 Smart boy, Leo, what a way to get extra treats. I free feed Mags, so sometimes her AMPS can reflect it. I should try the feeder, but she's so good at eating when low I hate to mess it up.

Re: 5/22 Leo AMPS 288

Leo just knows to wait until you are in your zombie sleep to ask. He is a smart boy. Not bad AMPS considering. We free feed so Tarragon will sometimes eat right before we get up, if he has left any out that late. Other nights he inhales it all around midnight.

Hope you have a wonderful day Tracy!!

Re: 5/22 Leo AMPS 288

Hi Tracy & Leo,
We basically free feed, too. I put out the nighttime food at PMPS+5 or thereabouts and occasionally Rusty eats it all then, but more often he eats some and then who knows when he eats the rest. I think he often finishes it just before AMPS. The part of the nighttime food that he always eats right away is the FF T&G. He looks forward to it all day, I'm sure!

Have a good btb and a great day,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 5/22 Leo AMPS 288

Morning Tracy - and Leo,

Smart boy Leo! You know where to go for those extra kitty treats.

Mannie is a scheduled feed, but we are Lantus, and I think Leo is on Lev? So I would guess with the later nadir etc, Mannie's schedule would not work for Leo. Mannie's fed at the front end of the cycle, with maybe a kitty treat at about +6. I wish I could free feed - but knowing Mr Hoover, he'd eat all up front and all at once and then have nothing for later. or... his sister would get it.

Have a great day Tracy - I hope Leo does too!

Re: 5/22 Leo AMPS 288

Not a bad start, Leo, but you need to find the blue and green floors, ok?

We use an autofeeder (5 meal, rotating one) that is open with regular food from 1-3 am (+7.5 to +9.5) then freeze dried chicken from 3-4 am (+9.5 to +10.5). We think he eats most of it but Tillie the civie could be eating some too. Zener had a couple scarf-and-barfs in the morning that we think was due to not eating overnight. He hasn't done that since we started using the autofeeder.

Happy Tuesday!

Thanks everyone for your replies, i'm thinking i need to feed Leo another snack so he's not so hungry before his shot and breffis.

Wrong way buddy!!! I'm still learning about Leo's onset on Lev and i don't think he starts his onset until +5 or so.

I just got a phone call to confirm our appointment with the veterinary oncologist tomorrow to talk about SRT and for them to meet Leo......so exciting!!

Good luck with tomorrow's vetty visit...looking forward to hearing what they have to say!

We try to not feed Trix much after +4...she's gotten used to it, but we're also very restricted because of all the other cats and their various diets.

Have a great night, guys!

Good Luck at the vet tomorrow & hope Leo can be in tip top shape soon!
We also free feed so I know Moonie always has some food--We are on Lantus--
Hugs & Lots of Love & wishes for a good vetty visit!! Love you Leo!!

Good luck on the vet visit tomorrow. I hope you fell comfortable w/ the treatment plan.

Tess gets scheduled feedings . Later on Lev than on Lantus. Her last meal is at +6, but if she doesn't eat it all we leave it in the feeder. It rotates at +10 to an empty section, so she won't have food the last 2 hours before her shot. That's why I like the rotating feeder, it can close the food off as well as open on schedule.
