Okay I'm not unhappy with this. I thought Alex would be higher this morning. He's good again today but reading Paula and Pepper's post I realized that I need to spend a lot more time "playing" with my cats since I took up and threw away almost all of their toys...I mean the ones they liked anyway.

I had a pantry beetle problem and the exterminator(who is a cat owner and lover) when looking for the 'source" pulled apart 2 of their catnip toys and sure enough there was beetle larvae growing in them. ((barf)) That wasn't the source, but apparently bugs also love catnip, and while in 30 years I never heard of that before, he told me that it's organic and bugs like that will go after anything organic for food. 'Nuff said...no more catnip in this house.

So batteries for my laser toys and new feathers for the cat teasers are on my agenda for today as neither of them has any interest in the 'tracks' anymore.

Have a good day evryone :-D

Re: 2/21 Alex AMPS 328

you could do what I do for toys:

I buy the dried nip at the pet store and take 2 socks (usually old and with holes- ha ha) put nip in one sock, then put that sock into the other and knot the top of the second. Then I toss and let them at it.

Never seen beetles or anything gross with the "lovie" socks. If I did, I'd toss em too.

Also, Sydney loves foil balls - doesn't cost a thing, take some foil and make lots of small balls from it.

Maui used to love, but doesn't play with anymore - the plastic rings that come off of juice and milk bottles.

Mine used to love straws... but now they only play if I'm playing also
