I was going to take the f off of the .50 today, but we were 15min. late for PMPS, so I guess tomorrow will be the day. I think her numbers are somewhat stable now, I hope. :mrgreen:

Long day, with DML and DFL. The assisted living place was gorgeous though. Still hard to get someone who was so independent all their life and have to leave their home.

Still thinking of BigMac and Carolyn and Tena and Curry.

Another beautiful day in Daphneland!

I'm sorry about your DML and DFL.....it was a transition also for my mom but the assisted living facilities are no longer like nursing homes. My mom is really happy there....just takes some getting used to at first. I wish them luck and happiness.

Daphneland sure is a lovely place to be - are you hearing that LL kitties, get your little furry butts to Daphneland :mrgreen:

My DGPs were not at all happy about the idea of assisted living but it didn't take long for them to settle in and decide it was a great move. Hope it is the same for you DILs.

Blackie sure does need to spend some time in DaphneLand, I tell ya. Daphne is looking more lovely each and every day. You're doing extremely wonderful with her. Keep up the excellent work! :mrgreen:

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about assisted living as our parents (both hubby's and mine) are still going strong. My thoughts and prayers are with yours, and I hope that things will smooth themselves out soon. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Daphne is looking lovely as always...I shouldn't say it, but she's a pretty predictable young lady (anti-jinx!!)

Did you guys look at "Stoney Brook"? (I know they recently changed the name...is it Brandywine now??) I heard it's very nice...and right next to my store, so when you visit DFL and DML, you can stop by and visit me, too ! I'm sure it's going to be hard to convince them, though...but I bet once they settle in, they'll be super happy.

Thanks for all the nice compliments for Daphne, she really does make life easy. She is such a sweet heart, and patient with her sick mom bean, and tired daddy bean. So I guess she read my post because she just gave me a 50 at +6 11:30PM my time. So most definitely I will take the f off the .50 in the AM. I already told DH he can sleep and I will just stay up and do the AMPS. I haven't been able to fall asleep for the past few nights anyway.

Thanks Amy, I know we have the assisted living right by us, but they are very, very active in their church in Hamilton Square. We first looked at Rose Hill, and thought that was pretty good, but today we went to Bearcreek Assisted Living and it was beautiful and clean and way above the Rose Hill, and really not that far from their church. But it still was a hard sell, DML would not even go with us, she said she was not feeling well, so we will try again on Tues.

And now, I know, I'm just venting here, but I also can't sleep tonight because my son, (and I know I have to let go), but he is going to take his own car back to college tomorrow night after an award dinner, and I'm a wreck. Its two hours away and it will be dark... nailbite_smile

OK, I have to test Daphne again, to make sure she doesn't give me a crazy lower number. I gave her LC with the 50.

Daphne's numbers have settled down! As I recall you thought it was the +9 snack that was causing higher numbers during the day -- did you stop giving her the snack?

I hope the transition of your in-laws into assisted living goes smoothly. It's a huge move, and frightening, but as Marje said the residences are so much nicer than the old style nursing homes of the past. Good luck with that.

Remind your son that he must not talk on his cell phone while he's driving, and he must call you the minute he gets back to college, no matter how late it is. He'll be fine. :YMHUG:
